Durante la reunión regular programada del 10 de septiembre, la Junta de Educación de JC recibió tres (3) opciones de calendario para cada año escolar y solicitó que cada una de las opciones de calendario esté disponible para su revisión y comentarios.

Johnston County Public Schools is in the process of selecting a calendar for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 school years. 📅
During the September 10, regular scheduled meeting the JC Board of Education received three (3) calendar options for each school year, and has requested that each of the calendar options be made available for your review and feedback.

Students in 4th and 5th grade have one more opportunity to purchase a recorder. Recorder sales have been extended through tomorrow, Monday, September 15. Tomorrow will be the last day that money is collected . We will be placing our order for recorders this week. Please be sure to send money with your student if you would like to purchase one.

We had a great first week of school last week. We hope everyone was able to take time to enjoy your family over the long weekend.
1- Parents, please remember that all students will walk into the school independently this week. We will have additional staff stationed throughout the school to ensure all students make it to their destination.
2-PTA will be sending home fundraiser information with students tomorrow.
3-If you pick up your child in carpool, please do not try to pass others in the carpool line. Everyone will be allowed to move at the same time once all students are loaded safely.
4- We have a different process this school year for arrival. All students report to the gym or to the cafeteria from 8:25-8:45. Then students are dismissed to their classrooms. We will be sending a survey out this week to parents to collect feedback on the new process.

It's the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year! Today will be full of excitement and some nerves for everyone, but we know this will be an amazing year. Here's to new adventures in learning.

Tomorrow is the first day of school for students in grades 1-5. We are so excited to see everyone!
Remember that breakfast and lunch is free for all students this year. We will have a new process for breakfast this year. Everyone will report to the cafeteria for breakfast or will be housed in the gym each morning until 8:50. At 8:50, a grab and go breakfast will be available for students that arrive closer to the tardy bell. The tardy bell rings at 8:55.
In addition, Before & After School Care will begin tomorrow. It starts at 6:30 am for before care and is until 6pm for after school care. Be prepared to complete paperwork and provide payment if you are interested in this service and have not already done so.
Again, we look forward to seeing all of our 1st-5th grade students tomorrow and our kindergarten students on Wednesday. Have a great evening!
