Back to School Dates August 2025


📢It has been reported that JCPS students have received more than 66.2 million in scholarship offerings for the 2024-2025 school year! This is an amazing 18 million more than scholarship offerings received during the 2023-2024 year!📢
A great deal of the offerings have been accepted and will cover tuition costs as these students continue their educational journeys!
💲JCPS is proud of the efforts that go into securing scholarship funding, and we celebrate the students, staff, and parents who work hard to make it happen! 💲
Great things are truly happening in JCPS!


It is the last day of school, which means we are just minutes before our students will be enjoying a summer full of fun!

Thursday will be early dismissal at 1:55. There will be no after school care on Thursday.

Monday is Field Day
Wear clothes for outdoor fun and games.
Don’t forget to put on sunscreen and bring a water bottle.


Rising Kindergarten Students Important Dates


We are very proud of our students in grades 3-5 for working so hard on Reading EOGs on Friday.
This is a reminder that we will be taking our Math EOG tomorrow. Be sure students get plenty of rest so we can show what we know!

Today we had the 3rd - 5th Grade EOG Pep Rally. We had Great EOG Relay, Teacher Cheer, Jingle or Cheer and guest speaker Mr. Ethan Brantley. Encourage your child to do their best, don't stress, and do their best.

Johnston County Public Schools hosted its 31st annual Flame For Learning Awards celebration this evening, naming William Marshall as the 2025 Teacher of the Year! Marshall, a teacher and alumnus of West Johnston Wildcats, was one of four finalists, which included Heather Bryant of Clayton High School, Lois D'Agostino of West View Elementary, and Brooke Hayward of Riverwood Elementary School. On behalf of Johnston County Public Schools, the Johnston County Board of Education, and the Johnston County Coalition of Chambers, congratulations to all of the nominees and William Marshall, our 2025 Teacher of the Year!
