Good evening Patriot Families, This is your Principal, Lyndsey Dunn, with a few updates for the week. First off, thank you so much for all of the love and support shown with our Line Dancer for Cancer Event on Saturday. The outpouring of love shown was beautiful to witness and reminded us all what a giving community we all have. Moving forward, our PTA wanted to remind everyone about our K-2 Spring Carnival occurring on Friday, April 19th from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. A flier was sent home with the information on it. Everyone will need to enter through the front school entrance. Pre-registration is $5 per student, which includes 5 tickets. If you choose to pay at the door, it is $8 per student and still includes 5 tickets. This is a cash only event. Pre-registration closes in 3 days on April 17th. If you choose to pre-register, the wristbands and tickets will be sent home on Friday. All students must be accompanied by an adult for the entire event. We hope you join us for this fun which includes : inflatables, carnival games, concessions, face painting and more! Also, for our 3rd - 5th grade students, they will be taking the Reading MVP on Tuesday, April 16th as a MOCK EOG and the Math MVP on Wednesday, April 17th as a MOCK EOG so please try to have your students at school on time. We hope this helps them not be as nervous on the actual days and get any questions they may have answered before hand. Thank you for all that you do and remember we are McGee's Strong!

This Saturday, April 13th from 10:00 - 1:00 is our Benefit for Ms. Weeks, a teacher here at McGees. Line Dancer for Cancer
Good afternoon families, Originally, our field day was scheduled for this Thursday, March 28th. Out of an abundance of caution and due to the weather forecast predicting a 80% chance of rain and a high of 60 degrees, we have decided to reschedule Field Day. We do not have specific dates, but will communicate those when we decide. They will more than likely be scheduled during the last couple of weeks after EOG testing has occurred. Thank you for your understanding.

Good evening Patriot Families, This is your Principal, Lyndsey Dunn. The countdown to Spring break is on, but first we have some fun events coming your way next week. Our Spring Book fair has started and will continue through Wednesday, March 27th. Students are given an opportunity to shop during the school day at appropriate times, but you will also have the chance to shop with them. Our Quarter 3 Family night will be on Tuesday, March 26th from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. The Book Fair will be open and you are invited to your students classroom for fun ways to engage in your child's learning at home. On Thursday, March 28th is Field Day! Right now the weather is showing a little on the cool side, so make sure that you send your child with a light jacket. We encourage you to make sure that your child is dressed appropriately to have fun outside in physical activities and a water bottle for inbetween. Quarter 3 Principal Book Club Logs are due no later than Monday, March 25th - remember they can be submitted digitally or physically. The Principal Book Club Party for Q3 will be held on Friday, April 12th and will be snow cones this time! Students were informed at the last one and were excited about something a little different. Last, but not least, Spring Break begins on Friday, March 29th. Thank you for all that you do for our school and community. Have a great weekend.
