If you haven’t registered yet, that is ok! Please come and join us to see how to prepare your child and be ready for Kindergarten next year and someone will be here to help you register. During this night, you will have the chance to see how the cafeteria works, see a classroom and learn about the bus! Parents, the teachers will help provide ways that you can be practicing to set your child up for success in August. Our amazing PTA will be here if you want to go ahead and be a member and our school Nurse will also be here if you are worried about making sure your child’s medicine or health care plan needs are all set for the 25/26 school year.

Good evening Patriot Families,
This is your Principal, Lyndsey Dunn with a few updates. Please pay close attention if you have a child in the 3rd - 5th grade for some changes that have recently been made with End of Grade testing. The Reading EOG will be given to students on Friday, May 9th as previously communicated. However, the Math EOG will be now given to students on Monday, May 12th. This is a change from what was previously shared. The Science EOG will be given for 5th graders only on Wednesday, May 14th, which is also a change. Due to a state testing memo, some adjustments needed to be made to allow for all requirements to be met. During these three main testing dates, it is very important that we have proctors to make our testing environment function at its best. If you are a level 2 volunteer and are willing to help monitor, please reach out to Mrs. Dunn or Mrs. Foisy. There is also a sign up shared on our social media. If you haven’t done this before, no worries! There is a training that you will be provided with to make you more comfortable.
In other news, this evening is the beginning of Spring Break for our staff, students and families. We wish you a safe, restful and happy break. Our front office will be closed next week and will open when our students return on Monday, April 21st. As always, we appreciate your partnership. Have a good break!

Patriot Families, Friday, April 11th is Purple Up day! McGee's Crossroads Elementary is recognized as a Purple Star School because of the support and appreciation we show for our military families. We are encouraging students to wear purple this Friday to show support for our Military Connected Students.
Also, quarter 4 progress reports will go home Thursday , April 10th.
Thank you.

Good evening Patriot Families, This is your Principal, Lyndsey Dunn, with your updates for the week. On Monday, March 31st, 5th graders will be taking the Science MVP. On Tuesday, April 1st, our 3rd through 5th graders will be taking the Reading MVP, which will be ran like a Mock EOG. This is not a joke so please help students be at school, well rested and ready to show what they know. They will follow that on Wednesday with the Math MVP, which will also be ran like a Mock EOG for practice. By running these like practice tests we hope to calm some nerves and help them not be as nervous for the real things at the end of the year. It also allows for us to work out all of the kinks in our plan before it is game time. On Friday, it's the day you've all been waiting for - the School Wide Spring Carnival, sponsored by our PTA! We are so excited and hope you are too! The event itself is Friday, April 4th from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm. All students must be accompanied by an adult, and as always, everyone must enter through the front of the buidling. Admission and tickets can be purchased in advance - no more waiting in lines! Tickets purchased in advance during pre-registration will be sent home with students along with a wrist band that shows you have pre-registered. This wrist band will give you immediate access to the event. We are happy to announce that we are now accepting both cash and cards at our ticket booths to purchase extra tickets for play or to get something tasty from concessions! At the carnival, there will be many inflatables including an obstacle course, 20ft tall slide, axe throwing and more!Think you Can you make the "Real" impossible shot and drop Coach Hines in the dunk tank? Come take your shot! There will be Full Concessions staffed by your very own teachers, and the West Johnston football players will be there as guest volunteers. It is going to be so much fun and we hope to see you there. It's not everyday that the carnival comes to your school!Thank you for all that you do . Have a good evening and we will see you tomorrow!
