Greetings, families!
This is a reminder that beginning Monday, April 14th through Friday, April 18th, students will be on spring break. Students will return to school on Monday, April 21st. During that week, our Kindergarten through 3rd grade students will complete their End of the Year mClass testing. We will also host Career Day on Friday, April 25th during student Enhancements.
On Wednesday, April 23rd, Clayton and Corinth High will join us for their grad walk through the halls of East Clayton Elementary.
As a reminder, we will host our rising Kindergarten night on Thursday, April 24th at 5pm. If you have a rising Kindergarten student for next school year, please join us for the fun.
We are also continuing to raise funds for our Color run and Spring Fling on May 3rd. Thank you for all of the support you have shown so far. Students who have already signed up for the color run have received their fundraising packets today.
Finally, we will need some proctor support for our upcoming EOG tests. If you have ability to support the school as a proctor, please sign up at the link below:

Families, based on the forecast for thunderstorms on Friday, April 11, we have reschedule our outdoor Field Day for May 2nd. We wanted to notify you in enough time to adjust any plans you had for attending Field Day. Your teacher is able to provide more information regarding events for the day.

Happy Friday, Explorer Families! We are gearing up for our final week before spring break! Here is a look at the week ahead!
On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, our students who earned their positive behavior points will have lunch at the park. Please be sure to send back your child's permission form, if they have earned the trip. We did make one change to the Kindergarten and 3rd grade trips due to forecased weather on Monday.
On Thursday, students will bring home their progress report for the 4th quarter. Contact your child's teacher with any questions.
On Friday, our Field Day is scheduled. As of now, there is more forecasted rain for the day, so we will reach out early in the week if we need to reschedule for a different date. This full day is outside, and we want students to be able to enjoy their field day with warm, sunny weather.
Additionally, keep sending in participation forms for PTA's color run during our Spring Fling on May 3rd. Once students enter the race, they will receive their fundraising form to earn race swag.
Finally, if you have an upcoming Kindergartner for the 2025-2026 school year, be sure to join us at our Kindergarten Readiness Night on April 24th at 5pm. The enrollment department will be on hand to be sure your child is all complete with their enrollment for Kindergarten.
Have a wonderful weekend!
