The Superintendent’s Student Leaders Cohort met today to have a meaningful conversation with Superintendent Dr. David Pearce and members of his Cabinet.
The group of 11 brilliant individuals provided insight regarding education from their perspective and discussed topics such as:

Coach White: The Cleveland Women's basketball team won their 4th game in a row with a 64-57 win over Chapel Hill last night. The Rams were led by 21 points from Lia Dunn, 13 points from DD. Tsolenyanu, 13 points from Glorianna Pratt and 9 points, 10 rebounds from Kennedi Taylor. The Rams are back on the road Friday at Green Level. Coach Parker: The JV girls basketball team had a successful weekend on the court. On Friday, they played Clayton and defeated the Comets 33-15. They were led by Gabrielle Jacobs with 10 points and Eleisha Parker with 8 points. On Monday, the JV Rams continued their success by defeating Millbrook 36-31. Leading the team against the Wildcats was Tyson Brunson and Elesisha Parker each with 9 points, and Gabrielle Jacobs with 7. The JV girls are back in action on Friday against non-conference Green Level. There will be a meeting for anyone interested in playing Men's Tennis on Friday, January 23rd, during Ramped Up A in Coach Parker's room, 324. We will discuss the schedule, paperwork, and anything else you need to know for the upcoming season.

1/15/2026 RAM Academy starts Tuesday. This is free tutoring by our teachers. To participate, show up in the Media Center at 2:30. You must be picked up by 4pm. Coach Sharp: Congratulations to our Men's Swim Team with their dominant win over the competition. Good job to the Women with their 4th place finish. Coach White and Coach Parker: The Cleveland Women's basketball team picked up their 10th win on the season with a 67-38 victory over South View. The Rams were led by 16 points from Lia Dunn, 14 points from Gloriann Pratt, 12 Points and 8 rebounds from DD Tsolenyany and 9 points from Addy Barefoot. 1/14/2026 Coach White: The Cleveland Women's basketball team pushed their record to 9-4 with a 71-4 win over Smithfield-Selma. The Rams were led by 23 points from Lia Dunn and 13 points from Gloriann Pratt. The Rams also played great defense last night shutting out Smithfield-Selma in the 2nd half. We are right back to playing tonight at South View. The JV girls basketball team had a dominating performance over South Johnston yesterday. The Rams defeated the Trojans 37-7, and was led by Gabrielle Jacobs with 11 points and Tyson Brunson with 8. The JV girls team will continue non-conference action tonight at South View.

1/7/2026 Ms. Barnhart: Attention CCP students- Your Spring 2026 courses begin Monday, January 12th. The CCP Advisor has virtual office hours everyday this week from 9:00-4:00 pm. Coach White: The Cleveland Women's Basketball team picked up a big conference win last night over Garner 61-58. The Rams were led in a back in forth game by recent 1,000 points scorer Lia Dunn with 29 points and DD Tsolenyanu's 8 points and 20 rebounds. Their record is now 8-3 and will play Friday night at Southeast Raleigh. Mr. Capps: FFA is having an in school meeting Thursday the 15th in the shop. Make sure to sign up in all timely!

12/11/25 Coach Parker: Congratulations to the JV Girl's Basketball team for their 40-24 victory over South Garner last night . The Lady Rams were led by Gabrielle Jacobs with 17 points, and Eleisha Parker with 10 points. The JV Rams will continue with conference play next Friday at Fuquay Varina. Coach White: The Cleveland Women's basketball team lost their first conference game of the year at South Garner. The Rams were led by a career high 14 points from Kennedi Taylor. They are back on the court next Friday night at Fuquay Varina. Cleveland Driver Education Program: The next Driver Education Class is coming in January. It runs from January 12th to 28th. 12/10/25 Coach White: The Cleveland Women's Basketball Team moved to 4-1 on the season with 63-47 win over Pine Forest last night. the Rams were led by 24 points from Lia Dunn, who is now 39 points away from being the first 1,000 point scorer in school history! A 10 point , 12 rebound Double-double from DD Tsolenyanh. We are back on the court in our first conference matchup tonight at South Garner.

12/9/25 Wrestling: Congratulations to the Women's Wrestling Team for placing 1st at the Heritage International this weekend! Abby Brewer and Emyiah Herring placed 1st, Laynie Valerin, Zayna Laraj placed 2nd and Kaydance Wingate, Giselle Vasquez placed 3rd in their weight classes. The guys wrestled at the WRAL Duels going 2 and 3. Great job!

JCPS will operate on a two-hour delay on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
All students and staff should report to schools and campuses on a two-hour delay.
We have been advised that the potential of black ice is possible tonight through Tuesday morning, creating hazardous travel conditions. To allow for better road visibility for our bus drivers, students, and staff drivers, we will be on a two-hour delay tomorrow. We encourage all travelers, especially our student drivers, to travel with caution.
School nutrition will serve breakfast upon students’ arrival. Early morning care will open two hours later than the normal start time.
Thank you for your understanding as we work with local safety and emergency officials to ensure that we are all safe during these inclement weather events.
