5/13/2026 The Varsity Softball Team picked up a 5-0 victory over Purnell Sweat last night. Karsyn Hudacky was the winning pitcher striking out 11 batters. Karsyn was recognized during second inning for striking out her 400th batter in her high school career. Seniors Izzy Sholar, Avery Morgan, Maddie Murphy all had two hits in the contest. The Softball Team will travel to D.H. Conley on Friday for their 4th round match up. FCCLA is having a potluck at Ramped up A and Ramped up B this Friday in Ms. Snegosky's room 607. All members are welcome to come. Congratulations to Sarah Walker and Hailey Davis for placing in the top 10 in North Carolina during the Spring Qualifier of the 2026 Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship. To compete in the Spring Qualifier, students aged 13-22 had to submit a qualified, passing score on the MOS Word, Excel, or Power Point certification exams May 1, 2026. The Microsoft Office Specialist certification is the only official Microsoft-recognized certification for Microsoft Office globally and serves as a powerful instrument for assessing student's skills of applying real-world knowledge. Way to go Sarah and Hailey. We are proud of you!

5/12/2026 RAM ACADEMY: The last days for Ram Academy will be today and Thursday. If you need help from teachers after school, these are your final opportunities. Track: Congratulations to the 18 Track and Field athletes who qualified for the past weekend, including two new school records set by Landry Lee in 100 meter hurdles and Lucy Koch, Kaelyn Bacon, Stevie Jankso, and Reagan Norman in the 4 by 800 meter relay. Good luck at states! Soccer: Congratulations to the girls soccer team on their first round play off win against Chapel Hill. The girls beat the #13 seed 3-1 to secure our first play off win in 3 years. We are super proud of their effort and wish them luck in the next round.

Round two victory over Riverside Friday night. Karsyn Hudacky was the winning pitcher striking out 12 Pirate batters. Karsyn Hudacky and Dakota Moore hit home runs during the contest. Seniors; Maddie Murphy and Avery Morson had two hits each in the contest. The Lady Rams will take on Purnell Sweat at home tomorrow at 6pm. The Rams Baseball team won their 2nd round playoff game Friday night at New Hanover, 9-6 in extra innings. Down 6-1 in the top of the 5th, the rams scored 8 runs in their final 4 innings. The Rams tied it in the top of the 7th with a single from Landon Wendel and a Sacrifice fly from Dean Brown. Zac Miller earned the win, going 4 innings, no runs and no hits. Noah price broke the lead with a bases clearing double in the top of the 8th. The Rams travel to Cardinal Gibbons tomorrow at 6pm for their 3rd round game.

5/1/2026 FFA: FFA is having their last in school meeting next Tuesday the 5th during Ramped Up B. Make sure to sign up in all timely. Gaming Club: The Gaming club hosted its annual school Chess Championship, with Four wins and zero losses, is Marvin Martinez-Martinez. Congratulations Marvin! Thanks to all of the participants. Soft ball: The JV softball team picked up a 9-4 win over Fuquay yesterday. Adelyn Bradford had two hits in the contest. Hayven Prouix was the pitcher Lily Chadwick got the save. The victory finishes; the JV season. the Varsity Softball team picked up a 6-0 win over Fuquay last night to finish their regular season undefeated in conference play. Karsyn Hudacky was the winning pitcher striking out 9 Bengal batters. Karsyn also hit a 3 run home run during the contest. The win officially earned the Lady Rams a 1st round bye in the playoffs. HOSA will be hosting a Baby Shower for "I choose Pregnancy Support services" and will be accepting baby gifts /donations through Thursday, May 7th.

Today, we had 22 middle and high school teams representing JCPS, and our Special Olympics athletes made the day unforgettable! They led the day from start to finish with determination, lots of energy, and incredible support for one another.

Softball: The Varsity Softball team picked-up a 15-0 non-conference victory over Holly Springs yesterday. Karsyn Hudacky pitched a perfect game for the Lady Rams striking out nine batters. the Lady Rams will take on SSS at Home today. JV Baseball: The JV Baseball team picked up a 10-0 win against North Johnston yesterday. Gavin Herrera started on the mound for the Rams throwing 4 innings and only allowing 3 hits and no runs. There were 218 nominations for this year’s title, representing 15 schools across the school district. Nearly all semifinalists were first-time nominees, underscoring the depth of outstanding educators across the JCPS team. Nominated by colleagues and administrators, the semifinalists advanced through a judging process that included interviews and submitting their classroom best practices for review.

4/16/2026 FFA: Cleveland FFA competed in multiple contests at the East Central Regional Rally. In Agricultural Mechanics, team members Henry Blackman, Gavin Bledsoe, Timothy Eschedor, Wells Sholar, and Palmer Hodges placed 1st and will advance to state competition. Ayden Capps competed in Extemporaneous Public Speaking, where he also placed 1st and will advance to state competition. Ava Boyette placed 7th in Creed speaking, and Langlee Carrol, Greer Holmes, Alyssa Glandon and Skylar Thomas placed 7th in introduction to Horticulture. Ayden Capps was also elected as an East Central Region FFA Vice President, serving in the Historian station. He will spend the next year traveling across the region presenting workshops and developing regional leadership conference. Congratulations!
