9/21/26 The October Driver's Education Class begins October the 5th. Sign-ups for the class are open this weekend at bit.ly/clevelanddrivered. Mid year Graduates: Seniors, if you plan to graduate in December, please return your application for mid year graduate form ASAP! Forms are due no later than September 23rd. Ms. Haynes the CCP Director, will be at CVHS next Monday, September 28th. If you have questions about CCP, email your counselor to be added to the list to meet with Ms. Haynes. This is a reminder for all students interested in competing for Miss Cleveland High. If you plan to participate, you need to sign up with Mrs. Parker for Ramped Up B on Tuesday, September 22nd, for our first practice. Contestants should report directly to the auditorium stage at the beginning of Ramped Up B. Again, if you are planning to compete for Miss Cleveland High, make sure you sign up with Mrs. Parker for Ramped Up B on Tuesday. We'll see you on the stage!

9/17/2026 College Campus Visit! Juniors and Seniors: The University of Mount Olive will visit Cleveland High School on Monday, September 21st (from 10:45-11:10 a.m.) in the Student Services Conference room. Stop by Student Services to register or register at bit.ly/cvhsevents. Congratulations to the Women's Tennis Team on their 8-1 win over Fuquay-Varina last night. The Lady Rams battled for several hours in singles play, with key tiebreaker wins from Sunni Johnson, Keira Burgraff, and Meredith Collins helping clinch the victory. With the win, the team is now tied for first place in the conference!
Through the Sports Medicine program, she demonstrates professionalism and dedication while serving student-athletes and coaches. Her service extends to West View and Cleveland Elementary, Zeta Archonettes, and her church through youth ministry and media support.
Aaliyah leads through her actions, consistently encouraging others and making a positive difference. She truly represents the character of a Cleveland Ram and what it means to "Dare to Be Extraordinary!"

9/15/2026 The application window for Spring 2027 CCP courses is open now. Application and Help Session information is available on the school website. Email your school counselor with questions. HOSA: The deadline to join HOSA is Friday September 18th. Payment is due at this time and can be made on our school's OSP site or using the QR code outside Dr. Beasley's room 218. DECA: has an interest meeting Thursday September 17th in room 358. Please make sure you sign up in All Timely for Ramped Up B. Please pick a membership application outside of room 358 or 203. Congratulations to the JV and Varsity Boys Soccer Team on their dominate wins at home yesterday. The JV team won 5-0 against South Garner, while the Varsity team won 4-1.
9/15/2026 Shop With a Ram: 🎄 Cleveland Students – Make the Holidays Special! 🎄
We are looking for students from Cleveland High School who would like to help bring holiday cheer to younger students in our Cleveland feeder pattern (grades 3–8).
This is a great opportunity to give back, spread kindness, and make a meaningful impact in our school community during the holiday season.

Grade-level proficiency, which is defined as students earning a Level 3, 4 or 5 on End-of-Grade and End-of-Course assessments, increased an impressive 3.8 percentage points, rising from 57.2% in 2025 to 61.0% in 2026.
These results are an exciting reflection of the progress taking place across JCPS and demonstrate that our district is moving Forward with strong momentum toward higher levels of student achievement and academic growth.

9/14/2026 Ram Academy will start on September 21st. This is a chance to receive free tutoring in our core subjects. Ram Academy is after school in the Media Center on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 2:30 -4:00. We do not provide transportation. Please arrange for someone to pick you up! Students do NOT have to sign up. If you want help, please report to the Media Center during our hours of operation. Homecoming Dance: please purchase your tickets for the dance by this Thursday, September 17th. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased through OSP. There will be a Men's Lacrosse Interest meeting on Tuesday the 15th in room 348. Sign up in all timely. There will be a Softball Interest meeting regarding Fall off-season workout this Friday during Ramped up B. Sign up in all timely. Driver's Ed: Many students with parking pases need to complete the Alive@25 program this week, in order to keep your parking pass. As a reminder, that program is offered this week on either Thursday afternoon or Friday afternoon. You must sign up on the Driver Ed website and pay the program fee to participate. The website is: bit.ly/cleveland drivered. without you completing the program, you may/ can/ will lose your parking pass.

Graduation rates continued to improve during the 2025-2026 school year, with JCPS reaching an outstanding 92.6%, compared to the state rate of 88.8%.
A graduation rate that exceeds the state average is a significant accomplishment, and it reinforces JCPS’s commitment to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed and graduate prepared for college, careers, and life beyond high school.
This achievement reflects the collective efforts of our entire school community to provide the high-quality education students need to reach graduation and prepare for their next chapter.
9/11/2026 Today marks the 25th anniversary of September 11,2021, a day that forever changed our nation. This morning, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders and everyday Americans who helped others, and remember the the strength and unity our country demonstrated in the days that followed. Character Ed Recognition Announcement: We are incredibly proud to recognize Aaliyah Melvin as Cleveland High School's Character Education Student of the Month! She was recognized Tuesday at the board meeting. Aaliyah is an outstanding example of what it means to lead with character, responsibility, and a heart for serving others. Aaliyah, thank you for being extraordinary! Seniors: We have a senior meeting on Wednesday, September 16th in the auditorium at 8:15 to learn about cap and gown purchases. Spread the word! Juniors: Herff Jones will be here on September 16th during all lunches in the auditorium lobby to help you buy your class ring. The FFA is having their first out of school meeting Tuesday, September 15th. It will be in the shop from 5:30 7:00, come out and have some fun with friends. There will be a wrestling interest meeting during Ramped Up B on Monday, September 14th in Coach McIver's class room, room 354.

HomeComing: Check your email for the Homecoming- celebrating 100 years of excellence. You can pay for the Homecoming dance on the link inside the email. Or go directly to OSP. See you at the dance September 19th @ 7pm. If you are a senior planning to graduate in December, there is a mandatory meeting on Monday, September 14th at 8:30 am. in the Media Center. All Mid-year graduates should have "mid year grad" reflected on their schedule in Infinite campus and received an email from Ms. Pardue wight more information.

9/8/2026 Coach Moore: There will be a Baseball Meeting regarding Fall Workouts during Ramped Up B on Friday in the weightroom. Please sign up for "Moore Baseball Meeting" in All Timely. Workouts will begin next Monday, September 14th. Powderpuff: Any boys interested in Powderpuff, cheer or dance, please sign up in Keri Strickland's room 330 by Tuesday September 8th. Robotics Club: If you are interested in building and programming robots, then the Robotics club is the place for you. New and existing members come on out to our interest meeting this Thursday during Ramped Up B. Be sure to sign up in AllTimely. HOSA: Students who are interested in joining HOSA- Future Health Professionals, Club need to sign up for Friday, September 11th Ramped Up A. This will be the interest meeting. Official sign up will be from September 11th- September 18th.
