Good evening Cooper Academy families. The past few weeks have been a blast celebrating our school spirit week and dressing as our favorite book characters on our Book Blast delivery day! We delivered over 2,000 books to our students to help build up their home libraries on this special day. We also appreciate our family engagement in our Fall Book Fair. Thank you for reading with your child 15 minutes every night! This makes a huge impact on the development of our students’ literacy skills. Just a reminder that Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend. Report cards will be sent home with students on Monday, November 6th. After reviewing your child’s report card please make sure to sign/date the report card envelope and return the envelope to your child’s teacher. The envelopes will be used at the end of each quarter to send report cards home. Please contact your child’s teacher if you wish to schedule an individual conference. Let’s have a terrific showing on Thursday, November 9th for our First Quarter Student-Led Conferences starting at 1:30 pm. Our students are extremely excited to show off all the growth they’ve been making throughout the first part of the school year. There is no school for students or staff on Friday, November 10th for Veterans Day. Parents of grades 3-5 students please remember to submit the parent permission form for the field trip to the Clayton Center on Wednesday, November 15th. Students must have a signed parent permission form to attend the field trip. Our next school spirit night is being hosted at Culver’s on Wednesday, November 15th from 5:00-8:00 pm. Culver’s is donating a percentage of all sales back to our school on this night. Our make-up picture day for newly enrolled students and for students wanting a retake will be Thursday, November 16th. The PTA is hosting an Art Open House, Crafts for First Responders, Movie Night and PTA Meeting on Thursday, November 16th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Pizza and popcorn will be provided by the PTA on this night. Information flyers will be sent home with students next week. Please RSVP for this event using the QR code on the flyer. Thank you for your support!
