Cooper Academy Families! This is Mr. Stoke, Principal of Cooper Academy with some information and reminders about upcoming events. First, we wanted to remind families in morning carpool to please arrive at school by 8:50 to avoid having students marked arriving late to school by homeroom teachers. It takes students a minimum of 10 minutes to walk to some classrooms on our campus and many students need to pick up breakfast first before reporting to class. Since the spring time change, we’ve seen an increase of students arriving late to our campus. Riverwood Middle School is hosting their Rising 6th Grade Student/Parent Night on Thursday, April 3rd from 6:00-7:00pm in their gym. Cap & Gown Picture Day for Kindergarten and 5th Grade Students is Friday, April 4th. Students can dress up for this event (do not have to wear uniform colors). The Annual 5th Grade Student vs Staff Basketball Game is Friday, April 4th from 6:30-7:30pm. Participants must complete the JCPS waivers to play in the games. The JCPS Panorama Spring Survey for parents, teachers, and students in grades 3-5 that have parent permission to take the survey is March 17th-April 4th. Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback when the window opens. We are striving to reach our goal of at least 100 families participating in the parent survey. Parent Letter with link for Parent/Guardians to Take the Survey Parent Permission Form for Grades 3-5 Students to take the Survey Progress Reports for the 4th Quarter will be sent home with students on Thursday, April 10th. Finally, we are extremely excited about the PTA’s new School Spirit Wear website available for our families.
