Technology Student Association represented the Pirates well at the NCTSA State Conference! A group of sixteen students from our school went to the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, NC April 18th-20th 2024. Our club President, Isaac Hammons, placed 3rd in CAD Engineering. He had 4 hours to produce technical drawings and a solution for a complex engineering problem. Lee Olwin placed 2nd in NCTSA Pin Design. Lee developed complex vector drawings and provided written explanations for this year's pin design. Lee's design featured a dinosaur-to-cardinal evolution to represent our state and this year's "Evolution of Excellence" theme. Our On-Demand video team led by Donuell Newsome with Howard Ho, Dwayne Magsino, Sebastian De La Rosa, and Jaxon Freeman placed 3rd. They were challenged to create a one minute video with a mystery theme containing specific props and dialogue. This team plans to compete at the National TSA Conference in Orlando, Florida this Summer. Great job TSA!
