    • JCPS breaks ground on Thanksgiving area elementary school

      Johnston County Public Schools broke ground on the district’s newest elementary school on Thursday, July 30. The school, located off of Lynch Rd., will serve families in the Thanksgiving area once construction is complete, which is expected in May 2021. The school is scheduled to open in the fall of 2021.

    • Dr. Eric Bracy sworn in as JCPS Superintendent

      Dr. Eric Bracy was sworn in as superintendent for Johnston County Public Schools on Wednesday, July 1. The ceremony was held in Smithfield at JCPS Facility Services, where Bracy was joined by his family. The Honorable Jacquelyn L. Lee, Chief District Court Judge for the 11th Judicial District, officiated the swearing in.
