Good Morning! It’s time to celebrate another amazing JCPS administrator for #NationalPrincipalsMonth, and our first honoree is Riverwood Middle School Principal Ms. Monica Sawyer. 💛 Ms. Sawyer has made great strides for the Ravens community. She continues to use her experience to ensure her Raven family excels. Ms. Sawyer, we celebrate you! 🌟

JCPS continues to improve its school performance grades! 🌟 We are proud to announce that 89% of our schools received a school letter grade of A, B, or C according to recent data, surpassing the state average of 66%. This is a tremendous increase since 2018, when 65% of our schools were identified as the same. Through dedication and hard work, three schools moved from a letter grade of C to B, and four schools moved from D to C! 👏 #GreatThingsAreHappeningInJCPS

JCPS communities came together in an extraordinary way for our neighbors in Western North Carolina! 🌟 Donations from our schools for the Hurricane Helene Relief filled three dump trailers, three 3 box trucks, two pickup trucks, and two vans! This outpouring of kindness, compassion, and generosity is what our school system is built upon. We thank everyone involved in this effort! We continue to keep everyone affected by this devastating event in our hearts! ❤

Thousands of supplies. Hundreds of donors. One common goal…helping those in their time of need. ❤ Today our Facility Services team gathered supplies from our schools, which were Hurricane Helene Relief donation sites. In a few hours, these supplies will be transported to Western North Carolina. Thank you to the many, many students, parents, and staff who have responded promptly and compassionately. Also, a special thanks to Johnston County Government and the Johnston County Sheriff's Office for allowing us to partner with you in this effort. 🤝

As we provide critical assistance to our neighbors in Western North Carolina, here's a reminder of our district's partnership with Johnston County Government's Hurricane Helene Relief Effort. The region is in dire need of new, unused blankets. As you continue supporting the relief efforts, place these at the top of the list. Thank you!

Academic growth is very important to JCPS! 📚 The district is proud to announce that 89% of the schools received a letter grade of A, B, or C, an increase of 24% from 2018! Likewise, 85% of the schools in the district met or exceeded growth, a 56% increase from 2018! JCPS is truly moving forward! 🌟 #GreatThingsAreHappeningInJCPS

Did you know... JCPS is 1 of 12 districts to exceed pre-pandemic achievement? Not only that, six of our amazing schools exited low performing status. All student subgroups are above pre-pandemic achievement, and JCPS is closing the achievement gaps. #GreatThingsAreHappeningInJCPS

The next data highlight from the 2023-2024 school year data report is phenomenal! Twenty-three of our schools earned their way into the top 20% of the state for growth.
