It’s been a jam packed morning for our newest principals and assistant principals!
They participated in training sessions designed with the tools they will need to move their schools forward on the path to student success and academic achievement.
The afternoon sessions will also be filled with essential district elements including “Why Do We Exist: Principal Essentials” and “Why Do We Exist: Thriving as a New Assistant Principal”.

Leadership 2026 has begun!
New principals and assistant principals are engaging in 7 sessions of informative and instructive leadership training.
The passionate group of 26 administrators will receive presentations on curriculum and instruction, relationship development, accountability, effective hiring practices, district practices and standards, and much, much more.
This group of strong leaders are proof that the future is bright for JCPS!

It is hard to believe, but tomorrow is the last day of school for all JCPS students.
It has been an amazing year, and we are grateful each and every day to have the very best students, staff, parents, and community here at River Dell. I am thankful for your support and partnership as we work to make RDE the very best school. Your support of all that we do here never goes unnoticed.
Tomorrow is an Early Dismissal day, and students will be dismissed at 1:55. Please know that carpool will probably finish up around 2:25 tomorrow, so plan accordingly.

Every student in every grade can get a free breakfast every single day. We want to make sure all students have full bellies before testing. Also, please make sure your students get a good night of sleep before these testing days. The temperature in the classrooms during testing may vary, so it is always a good idea to send them with a sweater, sweatshirt, or jacket. We are so excited and so confident in our students. Please get your students ready and excited to take their time, use the strategies they have been taught, and show what they know.

Please park in the front parking lot and enter at the front door on the side, just like you would for a school dance. The meal will be in the cafeteria. There will also be some crafts for the kids.
We will have our YMCA out on the playground and also in the gym, so head straight to the cafeteria for this awesome meal.
We hope to see everyone tonight...bring friends and neighbors as well! All are welcome!
