Good afternoon families, Originally, our field day was scheduled for this Thursday, March 28th. Out of an abundance of caution and due to the weather forecast predicting a 80% chance of rain and a high of 60 degrees, we have decided to reschedule Field Day. We do not have specific dates, but will communicate those when we decide. They will more than likely be scheduled during the last couple of weeks after EOG testing has occurred. Good evening Patriot Families, This is your Principal, Lyndsey Dunn. The countdown to Spring break is on, but first we have some fun events coming your way next week. Our Spring Book fair has started and will continue through Wednesday, March 27th. Students are given an opportunity to shop during the school day at appropriate times, but you will also have the chance to shop with them. Our Quarter 3 Family night will be on Tuesday, March 26th from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. The Book Fair will be open and you are invited to your students classroom for fun ways to engage in your child's learning at home. On Thursday, March 28th is Field Day! Right now the weather is showing a little on the cool side, so make sure that you send your child with a light jacket. We encourage you to make sure that your child is dressed appropriately to have fun outside in physical activities and a water bottle for inbetween. Quarter 3 Principal Book Club Logs are due no later than Monday, March 25th - remember they can be submitted digitally or physically. The Principal Book Club Party for Q3 will be held on Friday, April 12th and will be snow cones this time! Students were informed at the last one and were excited about something a little different. Last, but not least, Spring Break begins on Friday, March 29th. Thank you for all that you do for our school and community. Have a great weekend.

Good evening, This is your Principal, Lyndsey Dunn with a couple of updates . Your student should have come home with an envelope with School Store information today. This is explaining how the program works. Families, please read over the information describing how you can participate. Your students will earn a participation prize when they return the filled-out envelope to school. We are asking you to complete option 3 on your information sheet (shop your normal retailers including Walmart, Old Navy, or Hobby Lobby to name a few). By shopping at your normal stores, our PTA receives a small portion of the total. This will last an entire calendar year and students have the ability to earn prizes for participation until the end of the school year. We want to stress that we are not asking for donations at this time. We realize that times are tough, so this may be a small way to help the school with your everyday shopping. Also, please make note that for the past couple of weeks, our carpool has been ending by 4:20 pm. Please make sure that you are in line when it begins at 3:45 and that you have picked up your child by 4:20 pm. Our office closes at 4:45 and we have several students that are on campus well after our dismissal has ended. Thank you and have a good evening.

So proud of our Patriot singers as they represented MCES at this year's Showcase of Stars! The performance was fantastic. Our amazing Mrs. Rutt was also recognized as she has been a part of EVERY Showcase of Stars since the beginning. What a wonderful night!

Good evening Patriot Families, This is your Principal, Lyndsey Dunn with updates for the week. Today was busy, but fun! What a wonderful turnout by parents and community members sharing their careers and cultures with our students. Thank you for your time out of your work schedule to inspire our students for the future. Today, we also saw lots of fun book characters traveling around the building as we ended Read Across America Week. Don't forget to go ahead and mark your calendars for our Book Fair week March 21-27 and our Family Book Fair and Curriculum Night from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. You will be able to shop our book fair, as well as visit classrooms, and get ideas on how to support your child's learning at home and finish the year strong! For school hours during Book Fair Week, we are looking for volunteers to help, so head on over to our facebook page, PTA page or the flyer sent home and sign up. Last announcement is don't forget to purchase your yearbook! As time passes, the cost increases, so go ahead and grab yours now. There are links on our website and social media pages.
