Greyson Frank is our first January Character Education Award recipient! A fifth grade student at Corinth-Holders Elementary, Frank was nominated for his compassion, which he shows by listening to others without judgment, encouraging his fellow students, always speaking with kindness, and being happy for others' success. This trait along with his leadership skills was the reason he was named team captain of his Battle of the Books team. Way to go!📚 #GreatThingsAreHappeningInJCPS

Care Solace
It's the first day of winter! ☃ Fun Fact: Each year, the winter solstice occurs in December, the 24-hour period with the fewest daylight hours of the year. In the Northern Hemisphere, the first day of winter marks the point where the sun appears to reach its lowest point in the sky for the year. Therefore, it is known as the shortest day or longest night of the year. #winter

To prepare, students met with elementary students from other countries via video calls, learned traditional songs and dances from other countries, learned other languages, and prepared foods from other countries to sample. Administrators and staff extend a huge round of applause to the families who supported the event in many ways!🌎 #CooperAcademy
