This Friday, May 29th, at 3:30 PM (line up at 3:15 PM), the Pirate community will cheer on the team as they are sent off to play in Holly Springs. Come out and support Corinth Holders High and their amazing student athletes as they represent Johnston County Public Schools in the 8A State Championship.


This Wednesday, May 27 at 12:00 PM (line up at 11:45 AM), students, staff, friends, family, and fans alike will make some noise at Corinth Holders High, sending off our student athletes to Greensboro! Come and wear your purple and gold in support!

Earlier today, the Johnston County Career & Technical Leadership Academy class of 2026 graduated at Johnston Community College to a room full of supporters including teachers, family, and friends.

Mr. Smith is a standout baseball player who has made an impact on the baseball diamond over the years, and recently signed with East Carolina University to continue his educational and baseball career.
The Sam Narron Award is presented annually to a Johnston County high school senior baseball player who has demonstrated a love for the game through determination, dedication, and sacrifice.

A huge shout out to Dr. Schnavia De Gourville, 8th grade science teacher at Innovation Academy at South Campus! She is our Certified Employee of the Month for May!
Dr. Schnavia De Gourville had plans to pursue an engineering degree in college. Following a School of Education presentation, she realized quickly that she wanted a career in which she could make a difference everyday and have fun doing it.
She wants to continue encouraging her students to become their best selves and provide moments where they can celebrate each other through success and stumbles.

The Purple Star designation is awarded to schools that demonstrate military-friendly practices and a commitment to military students and families. This year, JCPS had the following schools receive the Purple Star Award Designation: Benson Middle, Clayton High, Cleveland High, Corinth-Holders Elementary, Corinth Holders High, Dixon Road Elementary, Four Oaks Elementary, McGee's Crossroads Elementary, Meadow School, Pine Level Elementary, Polenta Elementary, Princeton Elementary, Princeton Middle/High, Riverwood Middle, Smithfield-Selma High, South Johnston High, South Smithfield Elementary, Swift Creek Elementary, Swift Creek Middle, West Clayton Elementary, West Johnston High, and West View Elementary.
