Happy Friday, Explorer Families! Thank you to all of the families who came out to support at the student-led conferences today. We hope you enjoyed talking with your child about their learning. Also, a huge shout out to our PTA for helping to serve our lunch today for teachers. This helped to end our teacher appreciation week on a high note.
Coming up next week, we will have our Excursion Field Trips. Each grade level has set criteria for how the students earn this trip, but it is the high reward offered through our school-wide positive behavior intervention system. Reach out to your child's teacher with any questions.
On Tuesday, be sure to attend our school's spirit night at the Hwy 70 Smithfield Chicken and BBQ from 5:30-7:30. You will need to provide the flyer when you order.
Also, please be sure to come out to our school's talent show on Thursday evening at 6pm. Tickets are $2 and can be purchased at the door as a fundraiser for our Student Government Association.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers. We hope you are loved and pampered this weekend.

This week we have several events happening. First, please be sure you have registered your child on the 5k fundraising site. This does not mean they have to run the race--this is simply a way to share the race information and to solicit fundraising donations from family or friends. Students can qualify for prizes simply by getting registered. Look for information on a lime green paper from the PTA about the details of the fundraising. The PTA newsletter is linked in the email.
