All students and staff should report to schools and campuses on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Thursday, February 5, 2026.

Based on the current weather forecast, there is a potential for black ice and frozen precipitation. We will remain in contact with local emergency officials and national weather services, and if additional school schedule changes are necessary, we will provide an update by 6 AM, Thursday, February 5, 2026.

School nutrition will serve breakfast upon students’ arrival. Early morning care will open two hours later than the normal start time. All extracurricular activities will resume.

1/29/26 Students: Now that progress reports have gone home, you know where you need to focus for improvement. We have free tutoring services through Ram Academy. Ram Academy runs Monday, Tues and Thursday from 2:30 to 4 pm. Three teachers tutor in Math, English, and Science. Transportation is not provided, so you must be picked up by 4pm. Just show up in the Media Center for help. Seniors!!! Get your senior ads now last day is February 16th. Order them at Yearbookordercenter.com CODE: 10676 BSU and CvHS Chorus are partnering to sponsor a History of Gospel Music as part of our annual Black History Tribute. Students who are interested can sign up in Ramped Up. We will meet on Fridays during Ramped Up A in the Chorus room. Our first meeting is tomorrow, January 30th. Please sign up in All Timely.

1/28/26 Sophomore Student Council invites you to our Valentines Day Movie Night on February 10th in the auditorium at 6pm! We will be watching, "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days." Admission is $5! Can't wait to see you there! Coach White: The Cleveland Women's Basketball Team picked up their 5th wino in a row over Green Level Friday night 50-32. The Rams were led by a 17 point, 10 rebound Double Double by DD Tsolenyanu, 10 points from Lia Dunn and 7 points, 14 rebounds from Izzy Sholar. The Rams are back on the court tomorrow and Friday nights, both at home. Be sure to come out and support!

1/23/26 Congratulations to Mrs. Sharp for being named Swim Coach of The Year! The Women's swim team earned 3rd place at the Greater Neuse River's conference meet last night. Elizabeth Reed is qualified for Regionals in the 100 Butterfly. The Men's Swim Team defeated six other teams last night by a margin of 115 points and named The Grater Neuse River 7A conference champions. Mason Jones and Matthew Zamora tied for Swimmer of the year. Mason qualified for Regionals in the 50 and 100 Freestyle, Congratulations! Ms. Barnhart: The application for CCP is open. The Superintendent’s Student Leaders Cohort met today to have a meaningful conversation with Superintendent Dr. David Pearce and members of his Cabinet.

The group of 11 brilliant individuals provided insight regarding education from their perspective and discussed topics such as:

➡️ Health and well-being, including Mental Health, and life-school-work balance
➡️ Their roles as student leaders among their peers
➡️ Tech awareness and artificial intelligence
➡️ Future plans and career paths

Their conversation was very productive and will aid in strategic planning for the weeks and years to come.

Coach White: The Cleveland Women's basketball team won their 4th game in a row with a 64-57 win over Chapel Hill last night. The Rams were led by 21 points from Lia Dunn, 13 points from DD. Tsolenyanu, 13 points from Glorianna Pratt and 9 points, 10 rebounds from Kennedi Taylor. The Rams are back on the road Friday at Green Level. Coach Parker: The JV girls basketball team had a successful weekend on the court. On Friday, they played Clayton and defeated the Comets 33-15. They were led by Gabrielle Jacobs with 10 points and Eleisha Parker with 8 points. On Monday, the JV Rams continued their success by defeating Millbrook 36-31. Leading the team against the Wildcats was Tyson Brunson and Elesisha Parker each with 9 points, and Gabrielle Jacobs with 7. The JV girls are back in action on Friday against non-conference Green Level. There will be a meeting for anyone interested in playing Men's Tennis on Friday, January 23rd, during Ramped Up A in Coach Parker's room, 324. We will discuss the schedule, paperwork, and anything else you need to know for the upcoming season.

Seniors- Don't forget to get your cap and gown! Information is on Facebook and our school website. See Mrs. Noel with any questions. Coach Sharp: Congratulations to our Men's Swim Team with their dominant win over the competition. Good job to the Women with their 4th place finish. Coach White and Coach Parker: The Cleveland Women's basketball team picked up their 10th win on the season with a 67-38 victory over South View. The Rams were led by 16 points from Lia Dunn, 14 points from Gloriann Pratt, 12 Points and 8 rebounds from DD Tsolenyany and 9 points from Addy Barefoot. We are back on the court tomorrow night at rival Clayton! Be sure to come out and support! Congratulations to the JV Girl's Basketball team for their win over South View yesterday. The Rams defeated the Tigers 48-30, and were led by Ella Gellenbeck with 11 points, and Gabrielle Jacobs and Tyson Brunson, each with 8 points. The JV girls will return to conference play Friday at Clayton. Cheer: Shout out to our varsity cheer leaders for winning conference last night! Congratulations to Haliee Newberry for taking home Cheerleader of the year! Way to go ladies!

1/14/2026 Coach White: The Cleveland Women's basketball team pushed their record to 9-4 with a 71-4 win over Smithfield-Selma. The Rams were led by 23 points from Lia Dunn and 13 points from Gloriann Pratt. The Rams also played great defense last night shutting out Smithfield-Selma in the 2nd half. We are right back to playing tonight at South View. The JV girls basketball team had a dominating performance over South Johnston yesterday. The Rams defeated the Trojans 37-7, and was led by Gabrielle Jacobs with 11 points and Tyson Brunson with 8. The JV girls team will continue non-conference action tonight at South View.
