
The JV Baseball Team beat Garner last night 5-2. Colson Shipwash hit a double in the 1st inning, holding Garner to 2 runs. Jack Resner drove in the other2 runs with a base hit in the 1st as well. The Rams play on Monday at Johnston.

The lady Rams Varsity Soccer Team picked up a 4-1 conference win last night over Clayton. The Lady Rams next game is Wednesday at Fuquay!

4/24 The Varsity Softball team picked up a 4-3 victory over Corinth Holders in nine innings last night. Karsyn Hudacky and Kendal Gaunt hit home runs in the contest. With two outs in the bottom of the seventh Sadie Johnston got a base hit to tie the game. Karsyn Hudacky was the winning pitcher. The Lady Rams will travel to Willow Springs tomorrow.

4/24 Announcements: 9th and 10th grade students eligible to participate at Thursday's field day have received an email and will be given a pass by your 1st block teacher. You must have this pass to participate. If you have a pass but have not been placed into the correct Ramped Up lunches, please reach out to Mr. Dudash. Last night at Johnston County's Flame for learning Celebration, Mrs. Jenny Irvine was recognized as one of the top three teachers in our school district. The teams had a historic day setting 8 school records and the boys team finished 2nd overall! top 10 finishers included: Kender Mangum- 1st in Shot Put, the relay team of Josh McMillian , Shawn Williams , Jordan Gulley and Ronalon Renwick- 1st in the 4x1 and 4x2 relays. The relay team of Ana Toy, Madison Smith, Dekyjah Middleton and Landry Lee-2nd in the 4x4relay. The relay team of Seni McKinnon, Kennedy Hinton, Ana Toy and Saidee Stone- 3rd in the 4x1 relay. The Varsity Softball team picked up a 5-4 victory over Fuquay on Friday night. Karsyn Hudacky got the Lady Rams on the board first with a solo homeroom in the bottom of the 1st. Maddie Murphy would drive in Avery Morgan later that inning to put the Lady Rams up 2 to 0. In the bottom of the 7th with two outs Kendall Gaunt would hit an in the park home run to the contest. Pinch hitter Izzy Sholar hit the 1st pitch she saw out of the ball park to win the game. Karsyn Hudacky was the winning pitcher with six strikeouts at Lani Pennica got the the save. The Lady Rams travel to Corinth tomorrow.

JCPS and JCC partnered today to host a FAFSA event at Cleveland High!
The event provided approximately 30 students with an opportunity to receive in-person assistance while completing the FAFSA paperwork.
Cleveland High Senior Hao Xian Kuang was one of the many students to attend the event and complete his paperwork. The UNCW hopeful was fortunate to share his story with our media partners from Spectrum News.

For prom king you will be able to vote for Talan Brown, Johnathan Echols, Jeremiah Cash or Lexdiel Martinez.

4/18 Announcements : Don't forget to wear your purple tomorrow for the Month of the Military child if you aren't wearing your Special Olympics shirt. Are you a 9th or 10th grade student who passed last quarter with a B or higher in all four of your classes? If so, you are eligible for next week's Field Day during Ramped Up. Celebrate your successful 3rd quarter with inflatables, snow cones,games and more next Thursday, April 25th. Eligible students will be notified through their email. The Lady Rams Soccer Team picked up a 3-0 win over Garner last night. Goals were scored by Jenna Messer and Madi McGonagle. Their next game is Friday @ Southeast Raleigh! Seniors don't forget to pick up a permission slip for the field trip to Carowinds. You can get a permission slip from Ms Johnston room 306, Ms Pearce room 226 or Ms Daughtry room 611. The JV softball team picked up a 12 to 0 victory over Clayton @ home yesterday, Emma Colton pitched the shut out for the Lady Rams. The Varsity softball team picked up an 11to 1 victory over Clayton yesterday. Lani Pennica was the winning pitcher. Sadie Johnston led the Lady Rams with 3 hits. The Varsity team will play Fuquay@ home Friday night @ 7pm.

4/17 Announcements: The JV baseball team beat Willow Spring yesterday 4-3! Thad Parker knocked in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the 6th to take the lead. The rams got great pitching from Drake Lee, Zach Miller, and Gavin Jackson. The Rams [play again on Friday@ 4:30@ Willow Spring.

A special thank you to Representatives Donna White and Howard Penny for visiting Johnston County Public Schools and taking part in the inaugural "Bring Your Legislator to School" day! Cleveland High was bustling with energy and many students and staff members were excited to engage in very meaningful conversations.

The JV baseball team beat Wake County Homeschool yesterday 11-5. Noah Price had two hits, including a double and triple and drove in 5 runs. Thad Parker also had 2 hits and drove in 3 runs. Tanner Murphy was the winning pitcher, and the Rams also got great pitching from Nolan Asay and Gavin Jackson. The JV team is at home today versus Willow Spring. First pitch is @ 4:00.

JCPS is looking for Reading Buddy volunteers to help our students this summer! We need parents, grandparents, community members, and high school students to join our Summer Reading Camp participants during morning arrival.

4/11 Announcements: The last day to turn in outside guest forms for prom is this FRIDAY. The form is submitted online only. The online link can be found in the slideshow on the school website and your email. The form cuts off at 2:30pm tomorrow. Prom tickets are now on sale. Only junior and seniors may purchase tickets. All ticket info can be found in the slideshow on the school website and in your email. The last day for any ticket purchase is Tuesday , April 23rd.This summer, JCPSS is offering a free program to provide the opportunity to gain valuable work based learning experience through the District C Teamship. Students who complete the teamship will recieve a $500 stipened. If interested see Ms. Clifton room 203 or Mrs. Blackmon room 219. The deadline to sign up is May 12th.
