HELP NEEDED! Cleveland Elementary is still seeking family volunteers to help us monitor our students during lunch periods in order to provide our classroom teachers with a duty-free lunch. Volunteers will be monitoring and assisting students, cleaning tables, and sweeping floors. We are looking for volunteers who are willing and able to commit to a certain day and time every week. There will be staff members in addition to volunteers in the cafeteria during lunch. To commit to volunteering for one or more time slots for one or more days every week, please sign up at this link for as little or as much as you would like to help. Grade-level proficiency, which is defined as students earning a Level 3, 4 or 5 on End-of-Grade and End-of-Course assessments, increased an impressive 3.8 percentage points, rising from 57.2% in 2025 to 61.0% in 2026.
These results are an exciting reflection of the progress taking place across JCPS and demonstrate that our district is moving Forward with strong momentum toward higher levels of student achievement and academic growth.

#JCPSDataPerformance | From the time every kindergartner walks through the doors of the school for the first time, the ultimate goal is for each one to walk out a graduate. That commitment remains at the heart of Johnston County Public Schools, and the district’s continued improvement in its graduation rate proves that to be true.
Graduation rates continued to improve during the 2025-2026 school year, with JCPS reaching an outstanding 92.6%, compared to the state rate of 88.8%.
A graduation rate that exceeds the state average is a significant accomplishment, and it reinforces JCPS’s commitment to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed and graduate prepared for college, careers, and life beyond high school.
This achievement reflects the collective efforts of our entire school community to provide the high-quality education students need to reach graduation and prepare for their next chapter.

Our school nominated Braylen Tearry to represent the character trait of responsibility and he got recognized at the Board of Education meeting last night! Braylen consistently demonstrates responsibility in both the classroom and daily activities. He completes assignments on time, follows directions, and helps others. He always does it all with a smile. Congratulations Braylen!
