In her first full year as principal of Clayton High, Hubbard is no stranger to the Clayton High Comets community. She is a graduate of Clayton High, as well as many of her family members. Helping children to succeed is Hubbard's passion, and it thrills her to see sparks in the eyes of students when they have just learned something amazing.

Johnston County Public Schools hosted its Legislative Breakfast this morning. State legislators, representatives, senators, Johnston County Board of Commissioners, Johnston County Mayors, and stakeholders joined the Johnston County Board of Education, cabinet members, and staff to discuss various school related topics. Topics included: academic performance, capital, EC, and low-wealth funding, Parental Bill of Rights, parental leave, and more.
The discussions provided insight into these topics and were a springboard for conversations in the future.
JCPS is thankful for the continued support offered to the students and families of of our school system.











We'll end today by recognizing Mr. David Hawks, principal at West View Elementary! Mr. Hawks is a lifelong educator starting his 46th year in education. He has stepped into his first year at West View Elementary ready to lead the way for the Wise Owls.
