We can't wait to see everyone!

Good evening, Bulldogs!
This is your principal, Sarah Willoughby, with a quick reminder about our upcoming Open House and some key information as we gear up for the new school year. Tomorrow, from 4:00-6:00 p.m., we’ll be hosting our Open House, and we can’t wait to see all of you there! Don’t forget to bring a family photo so we can proudly display it on our bulletin boards.
For details about carpool arrival and dismissal, please visit the transportation tab on our website. I’m happy to share that breakfast and lunch will be free for all students again this year. Third through fifth graders will have a grab-and-go breakfast, and for our fourth and fifth graders, breakfast will be provided on a grab-and-go cart instead of in the cafeteria.
Parents, you are welcome to walk your children to class on the first day of school. Please make sure to get a visitor’s pass before heading to the classroom. Kindergarten students can be walked to their classrooms until Labor Day.
We’re looking forward to an amazing school year, and we know that together we can accomplish great things.
Have a wonderful evening, Bulldogs!

We love crayons, construction paper, pencils, and all things school supplies! Thank you to LS3P for donating a ton of school supplies and a wagon to our school! Our teachers loved choosing things for their classroom and students to prepare for the new school year.
After a long morning of learning about all the exciting new developments in JCPS, our staff enjoyed a lunch catered by Smithfield Chicken 'N BBQ and teas from Healthy Teas. Gathering in our houses not only filled our bellies but also strengthened our community bonds across grade levels and departments, making for a wonderful day!

Exciting news! Our amazing Tonya Smith has just sent out postcards to our fantastic 1st-5th graders. Keep an eye on your mailbox because your postcard is on its way! 📬 And for our eager Kindergarteners, the big reveal of who your teacher will be is happening at Open House. Get ready for a fun surprise! 🎈We can't wait to see all of our Bulldogs!!!!🐾🎉

Good Evening Bulldogs!
We are excited to celebrate more of our students this week. Here are a few reminders as you prepare for the week ahead:
1. Space is limited in the gym. Please be respectful and of all students and their families and limit guests to no more than 3.
2. For our K, 2, 3, and 4 Awards, you may enter at the front office and at the gym. We will have the weapons detection system set up along with sign in sheets. Please consider leaving belongings and strollers in your car.
3. Students are not allowed to take flowers, plants, or balloons on school buses. If you bring those items for students, you will need to take them back home with you.
4. Fifth Grade Students should arrive at The Clayton Center by 5:30 PM on Tuesday, June 4.
5. Space at The Clayton Center is also limited. Please be respectful of all of our students and their families and limit guests to no more than 4.
June 6 is our last school day for the 2023-2024 school year. We will begin dismissal at 1:45 pm.
Also, don't forget that we will have remediation on Friday, June 5 from 8:55-1:45. Students will have access to transportation, breakfast, and lunch. Retesting will be held on June 10, 11, and 12.
Have a wonderful evening!
Please see our app, school website, or your email for important information about remediation and retesting.
Good Evening Bulldogs,
Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade teachers have either reached out to you already or will reach out to you this week to let you know if your child is eligible for retesting. Any student that received "not proficient" on an EOG is eligible to come in for remediation on June 7 and retesting on June 10, 11, and/or 12. We have not yet met our goal as a school so we are encouraging all students to try again. Some were just one or two points away! Transportation, breakfast, and lunch will be provided on remediation and retesting days. We will also operate on an early release schedule so students will dismiss at 1:45 pm. Please let your child's teacher know if your child will participate. We will also be sending home documentation to let you know how to access your child's scores. Have a wonderful evening!
