Good afternoon Knight families, we have two important pieces of information to share with you today.
All families need to complete the JCPS Beginning of The Year Documents. Students will not be able to receive their Chromebooks until these are completed.
AM Carpool should only use the outer loop within the parking lot. Cars can utilize both lanes of the carpool line in order to speed up the process. We have had some families try to use the inner loop to park and skip the carpool line. If you do this, you will be redirected back to the end of the carpool line.

Todas las familias deben completar el formulario JCPS.Documentos de inicio de añoLos estudiantes no podrán recibir sus Chromebooks hasta que estos trámites estén finalizados.
El servicio de recogida de coches por la mañana debe utilizar únicamente el carril exterior del aparcamiento. Los coches pueden usar ambos carriles para agilizar el proceso. Algunas familias han intentado aparcar en el carril interior para saltarse la fila. Si lo hacen, se les redirigirá al final de la fila.

During the July 14th regular scheduled meeting, the JC Board of Education approved revisions to Policy Code 4304: Code of Student Conduct.
There was special attention to Section F. 36, which provides governance for the "Possession, Display, Use, Sale or Distribution of Vapes".
Revisions define vapes and expresses that there will be a 10-day suspension for any student in violation of the code.
We strongly encourage parents to speak with your child(ren) regarding the details of the policy and the consequences moving forward.
Please know that the Johnston County Board of Education strives to mitigate health and safety concerns related to harmful substances such as tobacco products and/or vapes. The revised verbiage and the associated penalties have been set to achieve this goal.

Beginning August 26th, half of the students will attend, and the other half will attend on August 27th.
If you aren't sure, please check with your school to specify which date your child will attend.

Good evening Knights, this is Mr. Taylor with this week’s important announcements and information.
Tomorrow is the first day of school, we are excited to welcome everyone back. Students can enter the building at 7:35am, with class officially starting at 8:05. Updated homeroom lists are posted in the hallways for students to check on their way in. We will have printed schedules for students in their homerooms in case they need a new copy since open house.
Carpool has two lanes that run side by side, please use both lanes to keep cars from overflowing onto Buffalo Road.
During the first week of school teachers are going to spend alot of time building positive classroom communities, and reviewing and practicing classroom and school procedures. Ask your students about it each day this week!
JCPS Beginning of the Year Documents. If you have not completed these yet, you need to as soon as possible. Beginning of The Year Documents Students will NOT receive a Chromebook until the technology agreements had been completed.

Buenas noches, caballeros, les habla el Sr. Taylor con los anuncios e informaciĂłn importantes de esta semana.
Mañana es el primer dĂa de clases y estamos muy contentos de darles la bienvenida a todos. Los estudiantes pueden entrar al edificio a las 7:35 a. m. y las clases comienzan oficialmente a las 8:05 a. m. Las listas actualizadas de las aulas están publicadas en los pasillos para que los estudiantes las consulten al entrar. Tendremos horarios impresos disponibles en las aulas para quienes necesiten una copia nueva desde la jornada de puertas abiertas.
El servicio de coche compartido (carpool) tiene dos carriles que circulan uno al lado del otro; por favor, utilicen ambos carriles para evitar que los autos se desborden hacia Buffalo Road.

Tomorrow we are hosting out Open House! You can check your child’s homeroom using the link below. This will allow you to head straight to their homeroom after the group presentation and not have to wait in line to look it up! The sheet as a tab for each grade level at the bottom, please make sure to check your student’s correct grade. 6th Grade families can come from 2:00-3:30. 7th and 8th Grade families can come from 4:00-5:30. Mr. Taylor will have a presentation for students and their families at 2:00 and 4:00 in the cafeteria to start each session. The presentation will be in English and Spanish.

Don’t forget this Thursday is Open House! 6th Grade families can come from 2:00-3:30. 7th and 8th Grade families can come from 4:00-5:30. Mr. Taylor will have a presentation for students and their families at 2:00 and 4:00 in the cafeteria to start each session. The presentation will be in English and Spanish.
While at open house we will be selling SmMS T-Shirts for $15 each, only cash will be accepted.
