Join us in congratulating our First Year Teacher of the Year, Ms. Amy Mitchell. 🎉 Ms. Mitchell is a 5th grade Language Arts teacher. She has been part of the Bulldog staff for a few years now holding different roles. She has been an instructional assistant, worked the front desk, and been a long term substitute. We are so thankful Ms. Mitchell chose to start her teaching career with us as she was already a huge part of our family. #peswheregreatthingsgrow 💙💛 Well deserved honor Ms. Mitchell!

Going into the 4th quarter of ReadBowl, Princeton Elementary has already logged over a million minutes read! 🎉
We can't wait to see what numbers are logged on Monday--get in those minutes this weekend! Congratulations to Ms. Patelos' class for making it to the leaderboard again in quarter 3 📚
Next week we will share our school winners and hopefully hear one of our classrooms announced on Super Bowl Sunday! #peswheregreatthingsgrow
Don't forget that breakfast and lunch is free for all our students every day this year 🍕🍔🌮🌭

Next week on February 9th we will celebrate the 100th day of school! 💯
Our teachers are planning fun activities in the classroom and we would like to invite our students (and staff) to dress up to celebrate the day. 🎉
Next Friday, February 9th let's show off our creativity to express 100! You might dress 100 years old, wear a shirt with a hundred things or just pull out the brightest clothes you have to show how much you have learned in 100 days.
We can't wait to see what our students (and staff!) come up with!

Attention Bulldogs!!
From the PTA: We are extending the deadline for Shout Outs to next Monday (Feb 5)!! Make sure to get them turned in!
And don't forget that tomorrow you can wear your team jersey or shirt! It's the final quarter of ReadBowl 2024. Will PES come out on top?? Read, read, read this final week! 📚

Check it out 👀
This week there were 4 classrooms from Princeton Elementary on the National Leaderboards for ReadBowl 2024 in Quarter 2. Way to go Bulldog Readers 🎉
We hope you will all find a little time this weekend to read a good book (or 2 or 3...) to fill up those reading logs. 📚 In Q2 our school logged almost 350,000 minutes of reading! How many minutes will we log next week? Which classrooms will join the leaderboards? We can't wait to see! #peswheregreatthingsgrow

It is always a great day when we get to celebrate Pawsitive Behavior! Great job, Bulldogs! #peswheregreatthingsgrow 💙💛

We are already in Quarter 3 of ReadBowl and we are rocking it at PES! Our students are logging so many minutes and we are so proud. 📚
Reading Jogs the Mind: tomorrow let's wear running shoes and socks to celebrate reading. 👟 🧦
Remember tomorrow is the last student day this week. Thursday and Friday are teacher workdays with no school for students.

It is such a joy to watch children get excited about reading! Today we had a schoolwide DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time where everyone (including staff) in the building took time to read for 20 minutes. Ask your child what they read today and maybe have DEAR time at home with your families this weekend to log ReadBowl minutes!
We can’t wait to see which classrooms show up on the national leaderboard next week! 📚
We will hold a community blood drive at the school next Friday, January 26th. Help us spread the word!
Monday we will start the 3rd Quarter of ReadBowl and our dress up day on Wednesday will be Reading Jogs the Mind, wear your tennis shoes and jogging pants.
Next week Thursday and Friday are Teacher Workdays, there will be no school for students.

Don’t forget about our Food Drive happening this week! Bring in canned and non-perishable items for those in need.

It may have been a short week at PES but we packed a lot in those two days!
If you didn’t catch the videos of the Thanksgiving Day Parades inspired by the book, Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet make sure to scroll back through our page and watch both the K-2 and 3-5 events. Our students did a great job showing off their creativity! Also a special thanks to all the staff who made it happen!
There was still lots of learning happening in our classrooms including teamwork and stations inspired by turkeys!
If you have ever questioned the love and dedication of our PES teachers then check out the pictures of two of our amazing 4th grade teachers taking pies to the face this afternoon after making a deal with their students on meeting goals on a recent assessment!
Next week we will be collecting can goods and non perishable items for families in need.
As we close out this week to celebrate Thanksgiving we want to say how thankful we are for our school community. PES is the BEST place with the greatest students, staff and families around! 💙 💛 #peswheregreatthingsgrow
