It may have been a short week at PES but we packed a lot in those two days! If you didn’t catch the videos of the Thanksgiving Day Parades inspired by the book, Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet make sure to scroll back through our page and watch both the K-2 and 3-5 events. Our students did a great job showing off their creativity! Also a special thanks to all the staff who made it happen! There was still lots of learning happening in our classrooms including teamwork and stations inspired by turkeys! If you have ever questioned the love and dedication of our PES teachers then check out the pictures of two of our amazing 4th grade teachers taking pies to the face this afternoon after making a deal with their students on meeting goals on a recent assessment! Next week we will be collecting can goods and non perishable items for families in need. As we close out this week to celebrate Thanksgiving we want to say how thankful we are for our school community. PES is the BEST place with the greatest students, staff and families around! 💙 💛 #peswheregreatthingsgrow Check out the weekly wrap up here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1r3nniNoO1pV7UdquEM45z9KmXTt6cg690-PGsYIUuks/edit Have a great holiday and long weekend bulldogs. Dear Families, Johnston County Public Schools is committed to building well rounded students and consistently improving our schools for greater student success. Our school is participating in an opportunity to gather feedback on how we can better meet our goals of improving student success. Over the next few weeks, students and teachers will participate in surveys so that we can better support all of our stakeholders. In order to learn more about your students' needs we will be asking for your student’s feedback via an online survey that will begin on October 30th and will remain open for students through November 9th. The survey will take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. Please click here to learn more about the Student surveys we will be administering this Fall. The survey will be accessed at surveys.panoramaed.com/johnstoncounty - students will use their student ID number to access the survey. We are asking that all of our students participate in the surveys, as their responses will provide invaluable insights into their experiences and how we can improve and adapt to their needs. If a student doesn’t feel like they have enough information to answer a question, they are able to skip the item altogether. Please complete the form below and return to school.
