Today we had a little fun with a Pep Rally to kick off the #WorldChampionshipofReading that begins this upcoming Monday, January 8th! For students following the traditional school calendar, Wednesday, December 20, 2023 is an early release day. Then students will be out of school from Thursday, December 21, 2023 - Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Students return to school on Wednesday, January 2, 2024.

It may have been a short week at PES but we packed a lot in those two days!
If you didn’t catch the videos of the Thanksgiving Day Parades inspired by the book, Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet make sure to scroll back through our page and watch both the K-2 and 3-5 events. Our students did a great job showing off their creativity! Also a special thanks to all the staff who made it happen!
There was still lots of learning happening in our classrooms including teamwork and stations inspired by turkeys!
If you have ever questioned the love and dedication of our PES teachers then check out the pictures of two of our amazing 4th grade teachers taking pies to the face this afternoon after making a deal with their students on meeting goals on a recent assessment!
Next week we will be collecting can goods and non perishable items for families in need.
