Hello Families! Our school is fortunate enough to have a clothes closet in the event a student is in need of a change of clothes. We have more than enough shirts but we are in desperate need of pants. As the weather is warming up and you begin to go through clothing items, our closet would be extremely grateful for any pants or shorts that you no longer need. Below are the specific genders/sizes needed. Girls Size 5 - 14 Boys Size 5 - 14 If you feel so led, we are also in need of donations of new packs of underwear and flushable wet wipes. Please turn in to the front office staff and they will get the items to our counselor or Mrs. Penny.

Good evening Micro Families & Community, This is Dr. B with an update about our Annual Cow Patty Bingo Fundraiser Event. As you know, we had to reschedule this event due to inclement weather prior to the Spring Break and Easter Holiday. We wanted to let you know that our cow is ready to go and we will bring Ol' Bessie out tomorrow morning bright and early at 8 AM to do her business. We will update you all on the winners of this event....all dependent on where Ol' Bessie makes "her messy." Stay tuned to hear who our lucky winners are and thank you to all who helped make this fundraiser one of our MOST successful yet. Winners will be announced and contacted tomorrow. We hope you are all enjoying the Spring Break and the rest and peace it brings.

Last night, JCPS celebrated the 2024 Leading with the Heart recipients!💝 The event, inspired by Mike Krzyzewski’s book, “Leading with the Heart,” recognizes those staff members throughout the school system that demonstrate leadership, compassion, and heart on a daily basis. One person from every school as well as central services was nominated by their peers, because of their unwavering commitment and dedication to their role. We honor the 53 amazing members of the JCPS family for their work that clearly does not go unnoticed! Thank you!✨ Stay tuned for an event recap video... #ILeadWithMyHeart

Our fourth graders have been learning all about The Civil War and had some visitors today! Mrs. Warren, our media coordinator, and her brother, Caleb Tart, grew up not too far from where the last battle in NC took place, Bentonville. In 1993, their father, James, looked up and found an actual bayonet from that time on his property in an oak tree! They came by to discuss with our students about what it's like having a piece of history in their family. So cool!
