Good evening Meadow Families. We hope everyone had a great weekend. We have just a few announcements for this week. 1st Quarter MVP assessments will take place Monday and Tuesday. On Tuesday Report Cards will go home with students. This week Red Ribbon Week will be celebrated at Meadow School. There will be dress-up days to allow us to have fun and show our school spirit and dedication to making good, healthy choices. Here is the schedule: Monday, 10/28/24 - Be on the Drug-Free Team! (Wear a team shirt/jersey!) Tuesday, 10/29/24 - Shine bright like Christmas lights! Dim out drugs! (Wear Christmas colors/attire!) Wednesday, 10/30/24 - Celebrate Red Ribbon Week! (Wear red!) Thursday, 10/31/24 - We’re drug free from head to toe! (Wear a hat on your head & crazy socks on your toes!) Friday, 11/1/24 - Peace out to drugs! (Wear tie-dye!) There will be a JoCo Angels presentation about the dangers of drugs for our students in Grades 5-8 on Friday at 2:15 p.m. in the gym. Students will have an OPT OUT form if you prefer your students not participating in the presentation. PTO is selling $1 Boo Grams! Your students can send BOO grams to any student or staff member. Last day to purchase is October 29th. They will be delivered to students and staff on Halloween! This is the last week to fill up your tank at Meadow Market to support our PTO! Good evening Meadow families. I hope everyone has had a great weekend, We have just a few announcements for this week. Monday evening from 5:30-7:00 is our parent involvement night. You should have received information from your child's teacher. Tuesday Oct. 23 is Teacher Workday. School is closed for students. On Friday, the PTO is sponsoring our Fall Funday for students and our SGA will host a middle school dance from 3:30-5:30. Our Volleyball and Soccer teams play at home against Princeton on Monday, at home against Benson on Wednesday. Our Football team plays at Benson on Thursday.

Coach Cindy Biggerstaff was remembered Monday, October 14th with a moment of silence at the last home football game. She was a beloved teacher, coach, and athletic director retired from Meadow School.

MS Athlete of the Week
Good evening Meadow families. We hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. We have several announcements for this week. For athletics, Football plays at home against Selma Monday, Volleyball and Soccer play at Selma Tuesday and home against Smithfield Wednesday. A reminder for our Kindergarten families about the field trip planned for Friday. Parents mark your calendar for Monday Oct. 21 from 5:30-7:00 for our 1st quarter Parent Involvement evening. More information will be shared by each grade level. Our PTO thanks everyone for their support of the Fall Raffle. Winners will be announced Monday afternoon. Also, the PTO is hosting a Spirit Night at Jersey Mikes in Benson on Thursday Oct. 17 from 4:00-9:00 pm. Flyers will go home Wednesday with students. Finally, volunteers are needed for Fall Fun Day on Oct.25. Please sign up on the PTO facebook page using the signup genius.

JCPS continues to improve its school performance grades! 🌟 We are proud to announce that 89% of our schools received a school letter grade of A, B, or C according to recent data, surpassing the state average of 66%. This is a tremendous increase since 2018, when 65% of our schools were identified as the same. Through dedication and hard work, three schools moved from a letter grade of C to B, and four schools moved from D to C! 👏 #GreatThingsAreHappeningInJCPS
