Good evening Meadow families. I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. We have a few announcements this week. From our PTO, Thursday is Spirit Day at Jersey Mikes in Benson from 10am-9pm.. Students will have a flyer you present when checking out. This will make sure a portion of the proceeds will go to our PTO! Friday May 2 is Field Day. If parents plan to join their child, they will need to sign in at the visitors table. You will be able to walk around with your child throughout the events. Our athletic teams play Monday at Smithfield and Tuesday home against Benson. Friday night is our annual Meadow has Talent Show. It will take place in our gym from 6:30-7:30. As we head into the last month of school we have important dates for everyone. Our EOG schedule is May 9 Reading, May 12 Science for 5th and 8th grades, and May 13 is Math. If students do not make a level 3 or higher, students will be able to remediate and retest before school ends on May 22. Teachers will call and notify parents of scores and this opportunity. We encourage everyone to be present on testing days. If we have a lot of makeup testing due to absences, those students may be asked to return on May 23, 27, and/or 28. Next week I will provide our schedule for awards and celebrations for the end of the year.
