Let's make some noise for our teachers on #NationalTeachersDay!!!
Teachers don't just teach the students of JCPS, they inspire, motivate, mentor, and coach them. Our teachers pour their hearts and souls into their students each and every day. Teaching is a calling, and we are forever grateful to those who have answered that call, and have chosen JCPS to fulfill their purpose!
THANK YOU TEACHERS!!!💝👏

Up next, we're recognizing Mr. Clint Eaves! Mr. Eaves is the Principal at Meadow School, where he continues to follow Meadow School's mission by empowering the students to enrich their world by learning through relationships and innovative experiences. We are thankful for all that you do, Mr. Eaves! #NationalPrincipalsMonth

Today our Soccer and Volleyball teams played at Princeton. They play at Neuse Charter Wednesday. Our Football team plays at Princeton on Thursday.
Friday is Picture Day. Students should bring home information about pictures. These will be used for our school Yearbook.
Last, this week is Custodian appreciation week. Please take few moments to let our custodian know how great a job they do. We always receive compliments on the cleanliness of our school. This team works extremely hard to maintain a great learning environment for our students.

Good evening Meadow Families. We hope everyone has had a great weekend. Last week was another great week at Meadow School.
We have a few announcements for this week. As a reminder, our PTO and Meadow Market have the gas pump fundraiser. Proceeds from your gas purchase will go to the Meadow PTO and help support our school. Tuesday evening at 6:00pm we will host our Hispanic Family night. Good evening Meadow families. I hope everyone had a great weekend. We are looking forward to another great week at Meadow School.
We have a few announcements for this week. As we begin another week, we need students to walk themselves to class. We have plenty of staff members in carpool, at the doors, and in the hall to help students find their way to class. I also need to ask that students are picked up through the carpool process. The only students released to an adult is if the student is being picked up prior to 3:00. We understand carpool is long. We have close to 90 more students this year totaling 668. We begin calling students at 3:25 and typically are finished by 3:45. It is a quick process when we all work together.
Our athletic events for the week are Volleyball and Soccer home Monday against Neuse Charter and at Smithfield MS Thursday. Our Football team plays at home Wednesday against North Johnston.
Just a reminder that our PTO and Meadow Market has the Gas Pump fundraiser going on. Please stop at Meadow Market to fill up. You will support a local business and a portion of the proceed will go back to our PTO.
We hope you all have a great evening.

At Tuesday's State Board of Education meeting, test results from 2022/2023 were approved and released. Meadow School is one of 4 JCPS schools to finish in the top 5% of the State. Our growth index was 6.01, slightly down from 21/22 (6.89). We are THE ONLY school in JCPS to be in the top 5% for two consecutive years!!
We have increased our school grade from a 65-C to a 68-C. Our goal this year is to reach the 70-B level. All of this could not be accomplished without the support of our families and community, and the outstanding work and dedication from our school staff.
It is proven that MEadow success begins with ME!

Tonight's soccer and volleyball games will begin at 6:00 due to the heat.

Good evening Meadow Families. I hope everyone has enjoyed their holiday. Just a reminder that school is closed Monday Sept. 4 for Labor Day.
We have a few announcements for the week. First, we welcome half of the Pre-K and kindergarten students on Tuesday and Wednesday. All Pre-K and kindergarten students report on Thursday. Second, our athletic teams get started with competition this week. All teams will have a parent/athlete meeting Tuesday evening at 6:30 in the gym with coaches. Volleyball and Boys Soccer play at home against Princeton on Wednesday and our football team plays at Four Oaks Thursday. Third, the PTO/Meadow Market Gas Pump fundraiser has started. Please stop by Meadow Market and get your gas. This helps a community business and partial funds will come back to the PTO to help our school.
