Good Evening, Our Fall Festival is this Friday from 6:00-8:00 pm. There will be inflatables, food, games, a dunking booth, face-painting, and more. Our Fall Festival is the major PTA Fundraiser for FOES and is always a huge event! Greetings, Four Oaks Elementary is hosting an attendance spirit week next week. We believe consistent attendance is a huge part of success in school. Students are encouraged to participate in the following ways on the following days: Monday-Pajama Day-Roll out of out bed and come to school in your pajamas. Tuesday-Tie Dye Tuesday-Where tie die because attendance is tied to learning great things. Wednesday-Wacky Wednesday-Wear bright or mismatched clothing because there is nothing wacky about being present and on time! Thursday- College/Career Thursday-Wear your favorite university/college gear or dress to represent your future career. Friday-School Spirit Day-Show your Cardinal Spirit by wearing your FOES gear or colors (red/white). Have a great weekend!

Good evening, The PTA Fall Festival Tickets sales will be extended through Tuesday (September 26th) at 3:00 pm. Raffle tickets must be turned in by Tuesday at 3:00 to be considered for the top seller prizes. Please send in any sold tickets. If you would like to request additional tickets, please send a note to your child's teacher. The raffle ticket drawing will be held at the Fall Festival that will be held on Friday, September 29th from 6-8 pm. The online presales for the Fall Festival is now live. Good evening parents, This is Mr. Parrish calling from Four Oaks Elementary. I am calling to invite you to the Curriculum Night event we are hosting Tuesday afternoon. Our floating event will last from 5:00-6:15. We will have ice cream in our cafeteria for all students and children who attend. Teachers will be sharing important curriculum information including our nightly homework routines, grade level promotion standards, and our schoolwide attendance letter. Tuesday night will also be an additional opportunity for any parent who needs to complete beginning of year forms. Here is some important PTA News: The Fall Festival Raffle Ticket sales are in full swing. Please turn in any sold tickets that can be counted. You can also turn in any tickets that you are not planning on selling. Our PTA will have a table set-up Tuesday night. Good Afternoon Parents, Students were given raffle tickets and a letter about our upcoming Raffle Ticket fundraiser today. Raffle ticket sales will be from Sept. 11-21. Please send in sold tickets as soon as you sell them so that tickets and money can be counted. If you would like more tickets please send a note to your child's teacher requesting more tickets. Please also return any tickets that are unsold. Students who sell 60 or more tickets will be treated to a special event. In order to be eligible for the special event tickets must be turned in by Sept 21st by 3 pm. Please remember spirit wear orders, student and business sponsorships are due by Sept. 30th. Upcoming PTA Dates

Good evening, The second week of school has been great so far. Kindergarten student began this week. One half of our kindergarten students attended Tuesday and the other half attended today. Tomorrow, all kindergarten students will attend school. Please be prepared for delays with our carpool and bus dismissals. Your patience is appreciated. As we focus ensuring that all of our students find their cars and are placed on the correct bus, we may lose some of our efficiency. This is to be expected and our processes will become smoother as the days pass. I would like to remind parents that we are offering free breakfast and lunch for all students this year. Lastly, mark your calendars for September 19th. We will be hosting Curriculum night from 5:00-6:15. On this night, parents can expect to learn about homework routines, grade level promotion standards, and have an opportunity to complete beginning of year forms. Attention Cardinal Artists! The Four Oaks Acorn Festival is Saturday, September 9th. Be sure to come out and see our Cardinal Artist booth in the Kid Zone! We will have a collaborative painting of our school that all members of the community can work on. This is sure to be a cherished piece of art that you are not going to want to miss! Let’s make a masterpiece!

JCPS CLOSED FOR ALL STUDENTS AND STAFF THURSDAY, AUGUST 31 Due to the impending inclement weather conditions caused by Hurricane Idalia, Johnston County Public Schools will be closed for all students, staff, and visitors tomorrow, Thursday, August 31. This includes all after school activities on Thursday. The district will operate under Condition 1 of our Inclement Weather Procedures. Weather Conditions can be found online by visiting www.johnston.k12.nc.us/weatherconditions. This decision has been made out of an abundance of caution and per the guidance of local and state emergency service officials. We hope that all of our students, staff, and families stay safe, and we thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we navigate this severe weather event.
