Good evening Pirate Families
This is Michelle Butler, Principal at Corinth-Holders Elementary- the BEST school in Johnston County with a few carpool updates. As most of you have noticed, we have quite a few more students arriving and dismissing by carpool this year. We are working with the county on how to make carpool run quicker and more efficiently for you. Right now we have about 300 students going through carpool everyday. This is half of our school population. Parents, we need your help to make arrival and dismissal as safe and quick as possible.
When dropping off in the carpool lane, please pull up as close as you can to the car in front of you. This will allow us to release more students to the cars with each carpool rotation.
If you have a young child who is riding in a car or booster seat, please work with them on how to buckle and unbuckle themselves from the seat.
Also, please do not park in the parking lot in the mornings and let your children out of the car at 8:25. We have a very small parking lot and those spaces are needed for families dropping off students in before school care, parents that have meetings before school, staff, and for families needing wheelchair accessible parking spaces.
Thank you for your patience and together we can get your children home safely and quickly. Have a great evening. Go Pirates!

Do you have a 4th or 5th grader who loves to read? If you do, please encourage them to try out for Battle Of The Books. Applications will be available in the library from 9/9 to 9/12. Our first round of try-outs will be on 9/24/2024 in the library after school until 5:30.

Join me in earning cash for our school by using the Box Tops app. It’s an easy way to make a difference. All you have to do is buy Box Tops participating products (like Cheerios!) and scan your grocery receipt. Box Tops are worth $.10 each and they add up fast! Twice a year, our school receives a check to help pay for whatever we need - equipment, supplies or experiences the kids love!
Use this referral code RZQY626E when you sign up and you’ll get 25 Bonus Box Tops when you scan your first receipt now through 05/31/2025, while supplies last! Download the Box Tops for Education app here: https://btfe.smart.link/c2jjdifkw?referral_code=RZQY626E
Box Tops now offers the ability to link your Walmart account and when you do this, you don't even have to scan, it's automatic! Every sign-up we get through the end of August helps us earn an immediate $5.
Thank you for supporting the CHES PTO!

Thank you to Inspire Nutrition for treating our staff with a cool drink on a very hot afternoon. They were amazing and we even had a drink named after us!
