Every month, Archer Lodge Middle School teachers nominate a Golden Gator from each grade level, as well as a member of our faculty/staff. ALMS has named its November Golden Gators. Nominees exhibit respect, responsibility, gratitude, empathy, teamwork, kindness, integrity, perseverance, and/or optimism.
Emily Anderson was named the 8th grade Golden Gator. She was nominated for being a hardworking student, kind to others, and “all around awesome”. Emily’s teacher, Mrs. Leas nominated her because she “has a willingness to help other students and she takes initiative to get tasks done”.
Preston Henry was named the 7th grade Golden Gator. Preston is described as an “outstanding, all-around student”. Mrs. Deaver, Preston’s teacher, said she wholeheartedly recommended him. “His leadership, respect for others, and dedication to both personal growth and the success of his classmates make Preston a role model.” She shared about Preston’s academic excellence, curiosity, and positive attitude, as well as his desire to help others. “Preston helps keep our hallways clean by picking up garbage off the floor and removing scuff marks off the floor . . . and he is a strong contributor to his classroom community.”
Itzabella Nunez was named the 6th grade Golden Gator. Itzabella strives to be her best everyday. Mrs. Worrell nominated her because, “Itzabella always strives to be her best! She works hard and doesn't get discouraged when topics are difficult. Her drive and determination are admirable. She is a great example to her peers and she is a good friend to all. In class she follows directions, raises her hand to share in discussions, is motivated to learn, and organized. I am so proud of all of Itzabella's efforts. She's a SUPER 6th grader.”
Finally, Mr. Preston Gomez (pictured) was named the Faculty/Staff Golden Gator. Mr. Gomez is new to Archer Lodge this school year. He always comes in with a smile on his face and is proud to be a Gator. Mr. Gomez’ kindness is unmatched, and he is a true role model for our students.
