Over the last three days, 40 North Johnston High School teachers were trained on Reading for Understanding! 📚
It is an instructional methodology for improving academic reading comprehension and vocabulary acquisition. They learned approaches to improving students' ability to read critically and write about and discuss texts in various disciplines, building student's academic literacy.

Today we broke ground on Wilson's Mills High School! 🏫
Alumni of the original high school, community members, local government officials, and JCPS leadership were in attendance for the groundbreaking.
The school is slated to open in the fall of 2026 and will be the 50th in the school district.
