JCPS and JCC partnered today to host a FAFSA event at Cleveland High!
The event provided approximately 30 students with an opportunity to receive in-person assistance while completing the FAFSA paperwork.
Cleveland High Senior Hao Xian Kuang was one of the many students to attend the event and complete his paperwork. The UNCW hopeful was fortunate to share his story with our media partners from Spectrum News.

Day 2 of Johnston County Special Olympics Spring Games did not disappoint!🥇
JCPS middle and high school athletes spent the morning competing in track and field events for a place on the podium. The athletes were focused and ready to have fun!

The 2024 Johnston County Special Olympics Spring Games are off and running! 👟
JCPS student athletes, and children from around Johnston County, competed in track and field events such as Standing Jump and Softball Throw. The opening ceremony included music, singing, and encouraging words from guest speakers.
The games continue tomorrow when middle and high school athletes put their training and skills to the test!🥇

A special thank you to Representatives Donna White and Howard Penny for visiting Johnston County Public Schools and taking part in the inaugural "Bring Your Legislator to School" day! Cleveland High was bustling with energy and many students and staff members were excited to engage in very meaningful conversations.

JCPS is looking for Reading Buddy volunteers to help our students this summer! We need parents, grandparents, community members, and high school students to join our Summer Reading Camp participants during morning arrival.
Volunteers will listen to and encourage students as they develop their reading skills. No experience is required, but you will need to register and be a volunteer with JCPS before you begin.
