What a wonderful day for Pine Level Elementary School! ✨ The school was presented with a check for $5,000 during Burlington's ribbon cutting ceremony for their newest store in Selma. The funds will be available to the school through AdoptAClassroom to help teachers purchase supplies for their classrooms and students. October is National Dropout Prevention Month! 🎓
In 2023-2024, JCPS graduation rate of 91.3% was well above the state average of 86.9%. We are steadfast in ensuring all students earn a high school diploma. Their futures depend on it!

The halls were buzzing with excitement this morning at Princeton Elementary! Today starts the READ with Malcolm Share the Magic Foundation READMarathon 2024. Of 8,000 schools participating in the program nationwide, Princeton Elementary was chosen as the official kick-off host. The children lined the halls with handmade signs showing their excitement for reading. The Princeton Middle/High School cheerleaders and varsity football team got everyone pumped up! Ready. Set. READ!📚

JCPS continues to improve its school performance grades! 🌟
We are proud to announce that 89% of our schools received a school letter grade of A, B, or C according to recent data, surpassing the state average of 66%. This is a tremendous increase since 2018, when 65% of our schools were identified as the same.
Through dedication and hard work, three schools moved from a letter grade of C to B, and four schools moved from D to C! 👏

JCPS communities came together in an extraordinary way for our neighbors in Western North Carolina! 🌟
Donations from our schools for the Hurricane Helene Relief filled three dump trailers, three 3 box trucks, two pickup trucks, and two vans! This outpouring of kindness, compassion, and generosity is what our school system is built upon. We thank everyone involved in this effort!
We continue to keep everyone affected by this devastating event in our hearts! ❤






Thousands of supplies. Hundreds of donors. One common goal…helping those in their time of need. ❤
Today our Facility Services team gathered supplies from our schools, which were Hurricane Helene Relief donation sites. In a few hours, these supplies will be transported to Western North Carolina.
Thank you to the many, many students, parents, and staff who have responded promptly and compassionately.
Also, a special thanks to Johnston County Government and the Johnston County Sheriff's Office for allowing us to partner with you in this effort. 🤝
