Mrs. Galdina Piedra, the treasurer at McGee's Crossroads Elementary School, was named JCPS Classified Employee of the Month for October 2024!
She began her journey with JCPS working in Child Nutrition Services and had the opportunity to work in the front office where she stayed for four years. Mrs. Piedra then became the school treasurer five years ago.
Mrs. Piedra answered questions on her role as treasurer for McGee's Crossroads Elementary and what the position means to her.

The Student Government Association Student Leaders held its first meeting today! 🤝
Students from each Johnston County high school met with JCPS Superintendent Dr. Eric C. Bracy and Area Superintendent of High Schools Roderic Brewington.
The group of influential students shared elaborate ideas on education and school improvement, as well as thoughts on school safety and security, technology, AI, and drug abuse. For fun, everyone shared what was currently on their playlists.
These students are undoubtedly on track to do great things! 🌟











Mrs. Lorenda Bradshaw, an Exceptional Children (EC) teacher at Dixon Road Elementary was named JCPS Certified Employee of the Month for October 2024!
She works hard to find anything a child needs to help them succeed, incorporating it into the classroom, and creating a great learning environment.

Ms. Holland is passionate about both her students and staff, making her an incredible asset to the Wildcat family.

Johnston County Public Schools hosted its Fall Legislative Breakfast welcoming local leadership and elected officials to discuss matters impacting the district and collaborative initiatives to improve the educational opportunities provided to Johnston County students and families. 🤝
Topics of conversation included bond referendums, Hurricane Relief efforts, opportunity scholarships, and English as a Second Language.
