Administration Completes Active Shooter Course
To continue professional development with school safety, the FOMS administrative team completed FEMAโs active shooter course. During this course, the administrative team learned the most appropriate steps to take in the event of an active shooter and completed an assessment to signify understanding of the course's objectives.

Mrs. Vann Wins $500 Grant
Mrs. Vann won a $500 Johnston County Education Foundation grant to provide materials for Passion Projects in the media center. The Passion Project will give students the opportunity to explore their passions by providing a learning space in the middle school media center equipped with a variety of tools and materials that focus on the following areas: arts and crafts, electronics, construction, technology, and video making.

Spelling Bee Winner
Congratulations to Courtney Lassiter for winning the spelling bee at Four Oaks Middle School. Her winning word was dexterity. Courtney competed against other middle school spelling bee winners on Feb. 15th at Selma Elementary. She made it to the fifth round at the County Spelling Bee. Great Job Courtney. We are very proud of you!!

Donors Choose Grant Winner
Congratulations to Ms. Enlow for receiving a $541.39 Have Fun While Focusing grant from Donors Choose! Ms. Enlow is our AU Teacher and will use the money to purchase flexible seating options such as wobble stools and beanbag chairs. The funds will also be used for light covers to reduce the glare in the classroom to help the students focus.

Yearbooks on Sale
Yearbooks are still on sale. The cost is $30.00. Checks need to be made payable to Lifetouch. The deadline for ordering a yearbook has been extended until the end of the school year. Thank you.

Track Meet Cancelled
The track meet that was scheduled for today, March 14th, at Princeton High School has been cancelled. A new date for the meet has yet to be determined. We will post the new date as soon as it is available.

Base/Softball/Soccer Game Rescheduled
The Baseball, Softball, and Soccer games that were scheduled for Monday, March 12 will be played today at Riverwood Middle School.
