These are the April 2025 Character Ed students.

Character Education is a priority for Johnston County Public Schools. Through a variety of means, schools in the district promote character education through rewards, bulletin boards, presentations, and interactive lessons. Each month, the Johnston County Board of Education recognizes students who have demonstrated good character. Below are the students recognized for April 2025.

William Dearhamer, III

5th Grade - Princeton Elementary

Respect - Understanding that all people have value as human beings

William Dearhamer IIIWilliam Dearhamer, III consistently goes above and beyond to create a welcoming and kind environment. His kindness extends beyond words. He takes pride in working with students with unique needs, often assisting them by pushing their wheelchairs to class, offering high-fives in the hallway, and even sharing a comforting hug when needed.

Dearhamer ensures students feel safe and supported by walking them to class, and always checking in on teachers and staff with thoughtful words and well wishes!
