April 9, 2024 JC Board of Education Meeting Actions

The Johnston County Board of Education held their regular session meeting on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Below is a list of agenda items presented for action. All exhibit sheets and background information are on eBoards.

Board Meeting Highlights:

Johnson County Public Schools shared a robust plan to increase employee recruitment and retention. The plan includes many customer service strategies that will  enhance recruitment processes, as well as current retention processes. The early contract signing process has been a great way to provide job opportunities to current student teachers and experienced applicants.  JCPS currently has 60 early contracts, 15 of which have already accepted positions. The district is committed to recruiting and retaining the best employees.
