From our PTA: Join Us for the Annual Bulldog Run – Let’s Hit Our Goal Together! We’re just a few days away from our annual Bulldog Run, where every student will participate in a fun and meaningful event to support our school! This year, our goal is to raise enough funds to fully fund field trips and assist with additional murals for our school building. How You Can Help: Register Your Student: Use the link below to register your student. 22nd Annual Bulldog Run | FundHub (getmovinfundhub.com) 2. Share Their Fundraising Page: Once registered, your student will receive a personal fundraising page. Please help by sharing their page with friends, family on social media. Every donation makes a difference and directly impacts our students. In addition to the awesome incentive already being offered, we will have some exciting daily rewards over the next few days. Be sure you are following us on social media and asking your students about the nightly challenges. The funds raised will allow us to provide exciting field trips for our students and enhance our school environment with beautiful murals that reflect our vibrant community. We are counting on the support of our school community to reach our goal. Let’s make this year’s Bulldog Run the best yet! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our PTA at WCESBULLDOGS@gmail.com with any questions. Thank you in advance for your support.

Hello West Clayton Parents and Families, This is Dr. B, Assistant Principal. We wanted to let you know that in an effort to improve arrival and dismissal times for our students who ride Bus 706, we have worked with JCPS Transportation Team to look at all of our bus routes and have made some changes that will positively impact our students, increasing the amount of instructional time they receive on a daily basis. This change, while beneficial, will impact four of our current bus routes. In order for you all to be aware of the Transportation changes that impact your child, please download the Edulog App and sign up for notifications. This app allows parents to receive up to date information about bus assignments, as well as track the bus as it is on its way to and from school. If you already have the app and have signed up for notifications, you may already have seen the new route and assignment information for your child. We are also making calls today to those who are impacted. The routes affected are Bus 706 of course, 623, 192/72, and 702. Again, being informed about up to date bus information will occur most seamlessly if you have the Edulog App. These new routes are set to begin NEXT Wednesday, October 16th in the morning. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at the school- 919-553-7113. We are hopeful this change will not only increase the amount of time students are in the classroom receiving instruction, but also help with students getting home a little earlier in the afternoons. Thank you for your attention to this message. As always, we appreciate your support and are “Better Together!”

JCPS continues to improve its school performance grades! 🌟 We are proud to announce that 89% of our schools received a school letter grade of A, B, or C according to recent data, surpassing the state average of 66%. This is a tremendous increase since 2018, when 65% of our schools were identified as the same. Through dedication and hard work, three schools moved from a letter grade of C to B, and four schools moved from D to C! 👏 #GreatThingsAreHappeningInJCPS

Thousands of supplies. Hundreds of donors. One common goal…helping those in their time of need. ❤ Today our Facility Services team gathered supplies from our schools, which were Hurricane Helene Relief donation sites. In a few hours, these supplies will be transported to Western North Carolina. Thank you to the many, many students, parents, and staff who have responded promptly and compassionately. Also, a special thanks to Johnston County Government and the Johnston County Sheriff's Office for allowing us to partner with you in this effort. 🤝

JCPS communities came together in an extraordinary way for our neighbors in Western North Carolina! 🌟 Donations from our schools for the Hurricane Helene Relief filled three dump trailers, three 3 box trucks, two pickup trucks, and two vans! This outpouring of kindness, compassion, and generosity is what our school system is built upon. We thank everyone involved in this effort! We continue to keep everyone affected by this devastating event in our hearts! ❤
