The Smithfield Middle School Art Department is proud to participate in the National Parks Youth Arts Project.
Students in Visual Arts classes from both semesters had the opportunity to work on 13 collaborative art canvases sent on to be displayed at four National Parks: Cape Lookout National Seashore in North Carolina, Cane River National Historic Park in Louisiana, Oregon Caves National Monument in Oregon, and Big Thicket National Preserve in Texas.
Smithfield Middle has participated in the project since 2017. If you would like to see more pictures of the youth art on display at the National Parks including past projects from Smithfield Middle, you can visit the gallery at the International Fiber Collaborative Flickr site.
