Good evening River Dell families, this is Ms. Durko with some announcements and reminders for the weeks ahead.
We have a short week this week for students. Thursday and Friday this week are teacher workdays and on those two days there is no school for students.
This Wednesday is the last day of the 2nd quarter.
We will be having a fundraiser sponsored by our Student Government starting next Monday, January 29th. Students will be able to purchase friendship bracelets, slap bracelets, keychains, water bottle stickers, and lollipops for $1.00 each for their friends and teachers. All proceeds will go to support St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Tomorrow is Caps and PJ Bottoms for a Cause. Students and Staff may pay $1 to wear a hat and/or pj bottoms tomorrow. All proceeds go to an RDE family in need.
We also wanted to remind everyone that the 2nd quarter ends on Wednesday, January 24th. There is no school for students next Thursday or Friday, as JCPS will have 2 teacher workdays on those dates.
Thank you to our students for being engaged, focused, and working hard this week as we wrap up the 2nd quarter. We are proud of you all.

Ozzy Blais received a January Character Education Award for Self Discipline!
A fifth grader at River Dell Elementary, he has shown tremendous growth and success in his time at River Dell. This is due to his work ethic and perseverance. He is a humble student, never asking for recognition. Blais never wants anyone to feel left out. He just wants to be his best, and to help others in their quest to be their best as well.

PTA will be hosting Spirit Night @ HWY 55 on December 5th and 19th.
During the week of December 4th-8th, students will shop at the Merry Grinchmas Holiday Shop. This provides students the opportunity to shop for family members and friends.
In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, all JCPS campuses will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 22 - Friday, Nov. 24. 🦃
