NCStar is a web-based tool that guides a district or school team in charting its improvement and managing the continuous improvement process. NCStar builds accountability as well as helps schools track their improvement plans.

Long Term School Wide Goal: 

By the end of the 2026-2027 school year, Riverwood Elementary school will earn an SPG of 85 making us an “A” school. 

*Need to have a Performance Composite of 82.7% and EVAAS growth index of 5 to be an A*Overall Achievement Goal:

Short Term Academic Goal:

By June 2027, Riverwood Elementary School students will increase overall academic proficiency in Reading by 3 percentage points from 76.2 to 79.2, academic proficiency in math by 3 percentage points from 82.8 to 85.8, overall academic proficiency in Science by 3 percentage points from 90.7% to 93.7 and will increase overall composite by 5% from 81.1 to 86.1%.

Short Term Targeted Subgroup Goal: 

By June 2027, Riverwood Elementary School students will increase overall academic proficiency for the following subgroup in the area of math: SWD by 5 percentage points

from 32.6% to 37.6%  By June 2027, Riverwood Elementary School students will increase overall academic proficiency for the following subgroup in the area of Reading: SWD by 5 percentage points

from 30.2% to 35.2%

Short Term School Climate for Teaching and Learning Goal: 

By June 2027, Riverwood Elementary will build collective teacher efficacy by increasing collaborative learning opportunities, peer observation, instructional coaching, and shared ownership of student success.  Measured by Perception data and Student Achievement
