NCStar is a web-based tool that guides a district or school team in charting its improvement and managing the continuous improvement process. NCStar builds accountability as well as helps schools track their improvement plans.

Long Term School Wide Goal: 

By the end of the 2025-2026 school year, Riverwood Elementary School will earn an 85 SPG making us an “A” school.  

*Need to have a Performance Composite of 82.7% and EVAAS growth index of 5 to be an A*Overall Achievement Goal:

Short Term Academic Goal:

By June 2026, Riverwood Elementary School students will increase overall academic proficiency in Reading by 3.9 percentage points from 69.1 to 73, academic proficiency in math by 2.7 percentage points from 81.3 to 84. We are waiting for our Science scores in order to determine our Science and overall composite goals.

Short Term Targeted Subgroup Goal: 

By June 2026, Riverwood Elementary School students will increase overall academic proficiency for the following subgroup: SWD by 8.5 percentage points from 35.5% to 44% (A4.01, B3.03, and E1.06)

Short Term School Climate for Teaching and Learning Goal: 

By June 2026, Riverwood Elementary School students will reduce our chronic student absenteeism by 3.6% from 8.6 % to 5%. Chronic Absenteeism refers to students who are absent for more than 10% of the school year.
