Good Evening Bulldog Families,
This is your amazing assistant principal, Rita Vaughn, calling with our weekly wrap-up and a sneak peek into next week!
This week was very busy here at PES! All of our students participated in field day and had a blast!!! Thank you parents for your support with this event.
Many of our lower grade students had a fabulous egg hunt. The students were so excited to show off their baskets and eggs. The smiles said it all. We appreciate all the parents for their help and support.
Mrs. Crews, Mrs. Cox, Mrs. Medlin and the Science Olympiad team did an excellent job at their competition today. We are so proud of them.
Parents, we will be having “popsicles with the principal” tomorrow at 10:00 am on the playground. Please come out and meet Mrs. Edgerton. We will also be having a ribbon cutting for our new swing set. Please join us if you have time.
Yearbooks are on sale for a few more days. If you would like to purchase one you can find the link on our facebook page or class dojo.
Our sneak peek into next week:
Next week we will resume our End of the Year Check Ins:
Science Check Ins - Monday, March 30th
Math Check Ins - Tuesday, March 31st
Progress Reports will go out on April 2nd.
Please make sure your child is in attendance each day. If they will be car riders, please make sure they are here in plenty of time to eat their breakfast. When the bell rings at 8:30 they will already need to be in their classroom. This will make getting started for testing a lot easier.
Next week will be our last week before Easter Break. Let’s work hard and meet all of our goals this upcoming week.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to seeing all of our Bulldogs back at school on Monday!
Enrollment for the 2026–2027 JCPS Preschool program is open now. We look forward to welcoming our newest little learners!

Due to the forecast of inclement weather, the associated high wind and the uncertain timing, Johnston County Public Schools will be closed for all students on Monday, March 16, 2026, as well as all extracurricular activities. The district will operate under Condition 3 of the inclement weather plan.
Based on the guidance issued by local safety officials, the forecasted high winds will present hazardous travel for our school buses and potentially cause property damage.
We thank you for your patience and understanding during this weather event.
Have a great evening!
