Third-grade student Lillie Conway received a surprise visit at Princeton Elementary. She won the Johnston County Education Foundation’s (JCEF) Golden Ticket $5,000 Scholarship.
Although Conway has a few years before heading off to college, she already has a clear vision for her future. She plans to attend the University of North Carolina Wilmington and pursue a career as a hairdresser. Until then, she channels her drive and creativity through reading, participating in her local theater, and playing tennis.
The Golden Ticket Scholarship gives students a chance to win $5,000 to use toward their education after graduating from Johnston County Public Schools. Tickets for the 2027 drawing are now available. For more information, click HERE.
