All fifth graders at Polenta Elementary were recently treated to a robot demonstration by the G-Force Robotics Team. Polenta's STEM Enhancement Teacher Lauren McCall invited the team to visit, building on the students' STEM curriculum.
The all-female team showed off the robot they built named SPITFIRE, answered lots of questions from the students, and donated books to the media center encouraging girls in STEM. ⚙🗜

Jesus is always a great example to our class to work hard and do his best. He follows directions, participates in class, cheers on other students, and shows amazing work. Mrs. Williams says she appreciate how he solves any conflict by talking first with his peers and then with her. He never complains; in fact, he starts every day with a smile and a high five. He pays excellent attention and is always kind and respectful to everyone. Congratulations Jesus for being our Puma of the week!
