Official tryouts will be in the Media Center on September 22nd after school until 5:15.
Students must be in 3rd-5th grade to try out for the team. The tryout will include three different criteria: math, science and your teacher’s recommendation. We will use your total points to determine our top 15 students for the Science Olympiad Competition Team. In order to help you study for the Science Olympiad tryouts quiz we have included a study guide. Everything that will be on the quiz is on the study guide. You must participate in the tryouts in order to be considered for the team.
Please remember, IF you make the team, you will be required to attend all practices on Tuesday afternoons until 5:30, which will begin October 6th. Your parents must be able to pick you up promptly at 5:30. You also must be able to attend the Science Olympiad Competition which will be held in March/April.
If you would like to attend the Science Olympiad tryouts please complete the attached permission form and return it to Mrs. Nehring by September 15th. No late forms will be accepted. We look forward to seeing you at the tryouts.
