Our livestock judging teams competed this past Tuesday in the Eastern Regional Livestock Evaluation Competition at the N.C. State Fairgrounds in Raleigh!
We are thrilled to celebrate their accomplishments!
Senior Team Success! Our senior team — Kinsley Shumaker, Georgia Wood, Kelsee Narron, and Tucker Murray — placed 10th out of 75 teams and qualified for the state contest in March! This is a major achievement, especially considering they were the only middle school team who qualified in this division that is mostly dominated by high school juniors and seniors.
Junior Team Success!! Our junior team — Mckynlee Pittman, Riley Phillips, Harper Schultze, and Carter Thornton — finished 22nd out of 59 teams and represented our chapter with excellence.
A special congratulations to Kinsley Shumaker, who placed 2nd out of 284 students in the senior division—an outstanding accomplishment!
These students dedicated significant time and effort preparing for this contest, and we couldn't be prouder of how they represented our chapter and school. We are proud to have such hardworking and talented FFA members!
We are also super proud of Ally Lavely, our NJMS FFA Advisor, for her leadership and positive energy!
