Mrs. Mooring graduated from North Johnston High School in 1990. She returned to NJHS as a teacher twenty years ago. Both her sons are also NJHS graduates. For thirty years students have benefitted from her teaching, her love, and her beautiful voice.
Mrs. Mooring's final NJHS concert was on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Scores of NJHS alumni returned to honor their chorus teacher and sing with her one last time. It was a packed house! Mrs. Mooring said, "This concert was truly an overwhelming blessing for me. To be able to see so many of my former students (graduates from 2006-2025) and to sing with them all again was wonderful! I will remember this for the rest of my life!"
While we are all happy for her to begin the next chapter in her retirement, her absence will be felt by our entire school community. We love you, Mrs. Mooring!
