I am Carson Cataliotti and I am excited and honored to be serving as the Principal of Micro Elementary. I have served as an Assistant Principal at South Smithfield Elementary and at Thanksgiving Elementary.  Prior to serving as a school administrator I taught first grade for eight years. I received both my undergraduate degree and graduate degree from East Carolina University. Go Pirates!!! I have three children Reaves , Hayes and Wells. I believe that being an educator is my calling and truly enjoy serving our staff, students and their families. My motto I live by: “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” -Theodore Roosevelt I look forward to working with all Micro Elementary stakeholders this year!

My name is Emily Batchelder, but I usually just go by "Dr. B."  I have been with Johnston County Public Schools for six years and have been a school administrator for 15 years.  I am so excited to be part of the Micro Team and join the spiders at the WEB.  I am originally from New York and went to the University of Massachusetts, Amherst for my undergraduate studies, Westfield State University for grad school, and completed my doctoral studies at the University of Sarasota.  I have been a teacher at all grade levels K-6, a curriculum coach, as well as a gymnastics coach.  

I live in Johnston County with my husband, two young boys, and our white Goldendoodle named Vader.  Yes...there is definitely some irony there.  I enjoy playing and being outside with my family, taking hikes on the many trails nearby, relaxing on the beach, listening to music, and reading LOTS of books!  Every year, I get excited to talk with students about books they have read and love to hear about the things they have learned through reading, as well as the connections they make and authors they enjoy.  I believe that kindness is the key to everything, and can always remember the names and faces of folks who have been kind to me.
